The most emotional part for me is when Jiuer finally called Yuanzhou "brother". Stupidly it always takes someone having a casualty for him to get a wake up call for his behavior but I was so happy that he saw Yuanzhou as a brother. I always knew Jiuer was kind at heart (although naive) and he lacked someone who cared for him since childhood. Not only did Ruyi do that for him as his master but Yuanzhou also cared for him in his own way, among all the other male generals and lords who just mocked him. That appreciation from Jiuer to Yuanzhou was so moving

Wooow what a great cast starting from the male and the female lead plus all the crew. what a great friend of crew and plus the fact that the drama starts with strong plot up to the finish of the end i mean the writers and the directors should take abow on that well done, first i like the fact that women in this drama are strong and can take their own decisions mostly the female lead. I loved the fact that both lead let one another to shine without over shadowing one and another nor the other crew friends plus no clingy love i love that. The drama had every thing some comedy hear and dey silly jokes, emotion and the fact ever fight had a reason why it's happening and lastly i loved the end no complain about it if you really followed it though some may not get cause of some confusion so to all the people involved on this drama take abow you nailed it.

Why didn't they show Ning Hangzhou and Ren ruyi 😢. I badly want to see them with their children at the end . Because of the incompetent and brainless emperors the country suffered a lot.I miss Yuan Lu,sun Lang,Yu shisan,Qian zhao ❤❤. Wah this drama is really.. all the cast did amazing.. each role no matter if theyre side characters or whatnot, they each leave a strong impression.. ofc im rooting for the ML and FL but goddamn i also want li tongguang to be happy at last, or yuan lu to live passed 20, qian ning to be steadfast always, sun liang to have all the fluffy fluff fur friends he wants, im even sad when that vermillion leader guy died, .. the writers really did an outstanding job here, they didnt paint each character black or white, but.. as ruyi and ning often says here.. theyre human, with their flaws and principles and we get to see their motives or how they get where they are.. just.. superb writing tbh. and oh how the casts really shines bringing the characters come alive.. i will remember yu shisan for a long time, the most handsome playboy in the city hahaha. Such a good drama.

Crying my heart out toward these few last episodes. The brothers bond is the best part of the drama. What a FABULOUS drama. I'm ranking this as my #1 Cdrama of all time. I'm with the 10% who believe the lead couple survived in the end and are living in seclusion with their two children whom they have named after their beloved friends who have passed away (son has the surname Ning and daughter surname Ren). It doesn't translate on KZbin but, on a different website, it says "10 or so years later" right before the scene of Chu Yue revisiting the battlefield where the war took place. She bumps into a child around 8-9 years old who reveals that his mother does swordplay and his father makes wine, these were plans that Ruyi and Ning talked about in privacy. If Chu Yue had dreamed or imagined the child, how would she know these details? After hugging the child, she then smiled at the memory of when everyone was still alive. You have to remember both our leads have faked their deaths before. Ruyi was supposedly dead for 5-6 years and then we watched her die again and get burned towards the end to only be alive and hidden. At the end when she killed the Beipan king and said she was lonely without Lord Ning, I think it's because he's injured and healing somewhere instead of fighting by her side. Thus, I'm interpreting the ending as our Lord Ning and Miss Ruyi survived.

the ending so sad but makes sense, in a war, heroes sacrifices their lives, but the story make LiTongguang looks so bad until the end, many people died because of him. Even so, that's why I really appreciate Chang Huasen acting skills here. I think his character and YangYing , are the most difficult to perform, many difficult scenes

It's December, my friends watching this 40 episode in 3 days overnight. omg😅though, the heroes in the story died all protecting the state, avoiding war if possible.this drama is very nice. You can learn good camaraderie,good friendship protecting each other boss ning and his friends they were all good they were fighting with principles.I like the way he say some pick up lines encouraging Li Tongguang from the time he encounter him when he dipped him on the water and when he cover him up during the battle.very nice... But in here, there's too much war and killing, so this is too much violent, too, and its not good till the end is war and they have a lot of enemies. The scriptwriter should lessen this kind of battle and let the heroic of the drama have fun and joyous scenes, too.ning and ruyi is supposed to have a child in their own to inherit their incredible skills in fighting yea ha ha.i remember Shisan the handsome man in the city that always coming late😅...i like good ending in the story like the golden of age by Shendu and the legend of fuyou...good ending!

Heartbreaking, beautiful, poignant, well written, well acted, fantastic character development…I rewatched soon after finishing it the first time because I sort of binged the first time (and I even knew the ending before I watched the first time, that’s how good the story is). The second viewing was better. The music ❤. My only disappointments were: I felt sad for our great General to be, as she was a good character and had her heart broken. And, I wish the Marquis/Duke Qing hadn’t behaved as he did in this last episode. I wish it had been something or someone else who had been the catalyst for - (don't want to spoil). Ren Ruxi and Ning Yuanzhou were amazing characters who will stay with me (as will the sweet Yuan Lu who I loved from his first moment in scree). I loved this…
