This drama is so good. The actors are killing it, truly. There is a bit of everything in this drama to keep us happy,the story is well balanced. I like that the characters are layered interesting and have development. The humour is very enjoyable to watch....ear trumpets alone? Haha 😄

I really appreciate the character development in this story. Too many Chinese drama's are lacking it. The lone wolf slowly comming to terms with finding companionship. The princess turning from a young and naïef puppy towards an experienced, strong leader on a painful journey. (it still could be better for other characters, but those two at least are believably written and played)

The treachery in this storyline is so unexpected and a delicious watch. Definitely an underrated C drama series, so well written and directed, and the acrobatics and fight choreography is actually amazing. I haven't been invested in a drama in so long, so many start off interesting and just peters out..

I really don't like how Ruyi is treating my man, the marquis. How could she be so cold, they definitely had a close relationship but the way she's able to cut him off just like that especially since shes being so good to the princess and Yuan Lu. The type of affection she didn't understand well at the beginning, i think was romantic affairs, she can just think of him as her precious little brother, they practically grew up together. Im sure she'd also be hurt if one day, she found out Empress Zhaojie was alive and treated her like that
