This is a very touching love story. It took the FL a long time to finally figure out that she wasn’t in love with fiancé but only was getting married because that’s what everyone expected. Love is not selfish nor controlling. In reality, her fiancé needed to learn that fact. If a person cannot be themselves in a relationship then it’s best to end it. Beautiful ending!

To those who are wondering what's the ending, it's an open ending. You can give your own interpretation of the ending. Love can really make you crazy. I hope we listen to what our heart (and mind) wants to tell not what others say. We can ask for opinions and insights from friends and family but we need to make a decision based from our selves. Taking risk is also hard just like being committed to someone. A relationship should always be a give and take situation. The two people should here each other and make a common decision. Overall, the movie was great and I really learned a lot! (Don't cheat on your fiance, it's good that she immediately stop herself before she do something she'll regret. Break off the marriage before it starts if you are doubting. Take time to rethink every decision you make. It's hard to be committed into something your heart doesn't love to be.)

For me, the fact that she chose to turn around and go to that spot and that he came there to find her speaks that their heads and hearts were one and the same. I think that the one year pause and also watching the granny's funeral from afar is partly that it was his journey, like he said when the first approached her village. And partly because she fell out of love with her fiance on that trip together, or understood why marriage together wouldn't work. Had she hooked up quickly after the break up, it sounds too much like fruits of a poisonous tree. Had they been destined to be, somehow they would meet. I also think that at the dinner date she asked Vivian to leave her alone, because Vivian had been lukewarm about Derrick, who looks like a clone of Zihyuan, but settled on marriage to keep the baby. And she was the one who ratted on her that she was having second thoughts. I think that I'll be re-watching this again and again as a comfort watch.
