It was a split decision with three judges putting Linn Marr in 1st and two judges putting Homewood in 1st. They sing well, they dance well, and that’s why they won. Not a 100% sure on this, but I believe that they won vocals unanimously and were 3-2 on choreography.

My varsity show choir won a nationals with all the awards, but it wasn’t ranked right next to linn mar. They never competed in the same competition. Look up Johnston innovation

Show choir imo should just be singing and dancing. A story is fine but stopping for dialogue is really just something for a musical
