What a beautiful exposure to these little children of Jamaica’s history through its folk-songs! A cute rendition. The essence of this folk-song though, is about a mother’s lament that, having been unable to sell any of her produce, she now finds herself having to return home unable to feed her little children that night. An ideal opportunity to have introduced European children to the harsh legacy left upon the Not White world by Europe’s Colonial greed and exploitation of fellow humans defined as “other”.
