It is super easy to create very dangerous chemical fumes if you cut the wrong plastics/materials. Like PVC will create phosgene gas which is really dangerous to inhale! But even “natural” materials will create bad stuff. Even wood and paper create bad compounds you do not want to have linger in your kids home. And then there is the whole risk of accidental reflections potentially blinding bystanders. This is no joke... I would actually recommend you throw that thing away immediately and buy a proper one with built in shielding and ventilation, and hook it up to vent it outside. You guys can afford to not risk it...

That really is important so I hope Linus moving away from the CEO position will allow the family to take a trip or at least relax the schedule a bit. The few successful businessmen I know get to a point where they really start delegating work to others and moving people up or hiring people on that can take on critical positions within the company. And they can afford to pay those people adequately so that everyone has a balanced workload and lives comfortably.

Really, they needed to do somehting like this. The owner, CFO, and CEO's (at the time) wife getting the upgrade would be at least a little bit of unfortunate PR. I am pretty ocnfidant that Yvonne would never have put herself forward for this under normal circumstances. However they needed to put their best foot forward for AMD and this is probably the most reliable option for views (at least of those who didn't get an Intel upgrade). And really, I think they nailed both sides, managing the boss' wife angle and making hte best possible video for AMD.

One way they could do that is by partnering with Gamers Outreach, albeit unlike with Hermitcraft where they streamed a bunch of Minecraft for collecting donos, LTT could directly build the custom PCs with Gamers Outreach, with the donos on stream being for extra builds they can't fit on the stream schedule (since they'd probably only stream for until the goal is reached, especially since building PCs on stream can be quite hard lol).

I can assure you, the drawers below the desk will absolutely piss you off when you accidentally drop the desk too low. It will error out sometimes when one side goes down further than the other. Then you have to pull the drawers out all the way, reset the desk to its lowest setting to equalise and raise it back again. It will also mess up the drawers, and potentially bend the metal bits under the desk. Source: I speak from experience
