@@zedk9137 no, that is literally something you learn with the most basic understanding of physics. Two objects will fall at the same rate regardless of their weight. The only factor in this test is coefficient of friction between the surfaces. If you do the math the weight term cancels out completely.
@OrbitalGirl Жыл бұрын
@@zedk9137 well, not entirely. The weight of the mouse affects the force of gravity pulling the mouse down the pad and the force of friction holding it up. The only difference between the two forces is the affect of the angle on the force (sine vs cosine term) and the frictional coefficients of the mouse feet. Thus reducing the force balance to g*(cos(Theta)-n*sin(Theta)=a

@@Dr2Chainz It has the potential to be one of the most important things to happen to this corner of consumer technology in a very long time. PC gaming manufacturers have worse than Apple in terms of peddling overpriced, underperforming products (cough cough Dell cough cough) and Companies like Razer, Logitec, etc etc are all benefiting from selling "pro" or "high-performance" peripherals to consumers who have no way of testing that performance except their own subjective experience. There are companies that do third-party testing of this hardware, but they don't publish their results. And most people wouldn't be able to make sense of them anyway, if they even bothered to read up on their new mouse or keyboard or gaming mat. Having an easily-digestible but rigorously-researched video that discusses the quality in an objective manner is (pardon the pun) game-changing.

Very interesting commentary on the Glorious product line. As an early adopter of Glorious for both my keyboard and mouse (O wireless & GMMK TKL Keyboard), it's disappointing to hear. I ran with Glorious because they initially offered a very reasonably priced entry point into the enthusiast keyboard scene, I loved the ergonomics of their mice, and they had reasonably positive reviews. I've personally never had any software problems aside from difficulty upgrading the firmware of their mice. I think my next mouse will probably be a superlight, because it just doesn't seem like it offers competitive enough results when compared to other mice in the category. I think randomfrankp not noticing a difference when using the model O2 wireless is more attributable to how little a difference you actually notice. The differences might look big on paper, but unless you're a competitive player, you probably won't notice a difference. I think it does speak to his integrity as a reviewer, because he could have framed Glorious in a completely different light for his own gain.

@willwunsche6940 Жыл бұрын
@@Montisaquadeis DPI varriation isn't just testing different DPI. It's a measurement of how inaccurate DPI settings are per mouse due to the distance of the sensor from the mousepad. Some high end $150 mice might have 800dpi setting actually be like 760dpi or 815dpi etc. Basically only a few mice are accurate in being close to the exact dpi. While DPI varriation doesn't change the accuracy of things it is the reason you can't copy pro players mouse settings for games like Overwatch, it simply doesn't work unless you have the exact same mouse as them. Two $150 mice at the same DPI and in game sensitivity can have up to a 30% difference in actual sensitivity easily
@willwunsche6940 Жыл бұрын
@@Peppeppukii Fun fact high DPI is actually a competitive advantage. It's especially important/underknown in shooters like Overwatch or Apex Legends. It's always better to have 1600 DPI with half your normal sens than 800 DPI with your normal sens. Old advice used to falsely say the opposite but now we know better. It heavily reduces the latency and increases the accuracy of micro-adjustment tracking specifically. Larger sweeping mouse movements latency/accuracy are unchanged where it basically doesn't matter. OptimumTech has a great video on it titled "Why gamers are switching to high DPI." While there are diminishing returns the higher you go like refresh rate, higher DPI is always better. 1600 (or even 3200) being the sweet spot for most, 800 DPI is significantly worse, 400 DPI is a massive disadvantage. And I am not talking about sensitivity, in game sens can be adjusted with DPI to make the same sens in game.

Why did you guys choose the outdated razer Viper Ultimate and not the Razer Viper V2 Pro?
@willwunsche6940 Жыл бұрын
It's in a different price tier, 50% more expensive. They'd have to use the new Logitech GPro super lite also instead. Personally I like the Viper Ultimate a tiny bit better anyways

@@drultraloser actually after doing a little more research I am surprised how much they fluctuate too even within the United States. Amazon sells new Viper Ultimates straight from razer for $79, while GameStop sells them new for $149!! And the Viper Ultimate 2 costs $144 at Best Buy. It's weird how much the prices can vary but generally the Viper Ultimate is much closer to this mouse in pricing while the VU2 is an extra $50. Looks like most of the time it comes down to the paint color of the mouse regardless of the website atm

I bought a Pulsar X2 (non-mini) over the Logitech G Pro Superlight after Ali from Optimum Tech reviewed it a couple of months ago, and damn, I absolutely love it. Also, pretty sure the TTC Gold/Yellow scroll wheel encoders are one in the same, so the scroll wheel encoder is unchanged from the regular X2, and the Huano Blue Shell Pink Dot switches are similar enough to the Kailh GM8.0 switches the regular X2 uses, that the paint (and the extra grams of weight therein) is all you're really getting out of this edition of the mouse, lol.
@nickfosley2882 Жыл бұрын
For anyone who stumbles upon reading this comment, Huano Blue Shell Pink Dot and Kailh 8.0's do not feel that similar for me personally. I enjoy Huano Blue Shell Pink Dots way more.
@11202 Жыл бұрын
@@nickfosley2882 switches matter. What matters more is the implementation of it into the mouse and how the mouse itself is designed. No switch feels the same across mice. It will have consistent characteristics compared to one another but not to the point of actually determining how it performs
@nickfosley2882 Жыл бұрын
@@11202 He's comparing the x2 to itself, so same shell. I see where you're coming from, but that doesn't apply here. The pink dots feel way better in my humble opinion.
@nickfosley2882 Жыл бұрын
and before anyone freaks out, It's just my opinion. I own both the X2 red, and the X2 RFP. I feel like the RFP version is worth getting your hands on if you have the option between the two. Because it has had incremental updates since the release of the original X2. RFP has a better coating, slightly raised mouse buttons, and smoother scrolling(preference). The original comment was trying to insinuate that it wasn't worth getting and it's basically the same, but there's clear differences(whether for better or worse).

And I’ve had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH USING IT IN 2.4. Like horrible stuttering and frame skipping. I’m SUPER disappointed in them. As my Model D was perfect. Good thing I still got it. Still, imma just get something altogether new.

I think that boardzy had huge input into his pulsar x2 that launched the same day. Then rfp just affirmed and went with the same. Boardzy would have 100 percent influenced and worked with the pulsar team. Same mouse, same specs, but he is an internals to externals reviewer who cares A LOT about what goes into any mouse.
@PunzL Жыл бұрын
It's absurd that the focus of this video is entirely RandomFrankP when it should be Pulsar, you know, the manufacturer of the mouse??? Also absurd is how they didn't touch on any other pulsar product - not even the other Pulsar X2 collabs which have had more influence on the actual internals and design of the mouse. RandomFrankP's collab is basically just a reskin of Boardzy's

Wut? Mouse reviews are NOT what I go to LTT for, it's such a trivial thing - use what you like.
