10 River Raids Tips NOBODY mentions for AC VALHALLA, Assassin's Creed, FREE DLC, update 1.1.2

Nobody mentions that the Jomsvikings are total trash in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. You don't need to go to you ship to start raid, in quick menu you can select start raid.

I was expecting some average tips but all these tips I've learned first hand without any help. So I can confirm all these tips are useful. One of the few different I do is I don't bother with the leveling up the other vikings because I'm incredibly over leveled

First tip was the best for me. Started raiding a few and then all died and I was stuck not able to open doors, etc. Time to grind and go full on assault THEN call them in

I only do that first tip when the alarms are maxed otherwise they are a welcome distraction plus the more your level their hall the better they get I watched my guys decimate the counter sword guys at rank 3.

I used to raid farms first to get rations to potentially heal the Joms... using the first tip, I barely have to do any of that, already making these raids like 3x faster 🤣👌🏽 brilliant

These River Raids had to be my new favorite spot for my Stealth Assaults. I love it. Tip 1 is the best tip ever. Even on Red Alert, they're pretty much fish in a barrel for me. What's only annoying are the river blockades.

Been playing for a month now. Gear grinding and stuff. Man I chose drengr and master assassin difficulty without auto aim from first play and it's so rewarding having actually finished raiding for saint george's equipment set. It's damn hard I mean Hellish hard....but worth it. Also, I turned the enemy health bar off👌

The fight system is broken in this game the enemies get hit with combos and they attack you back like they were never hit by you. The problem is you cant even save while on river raids which is a big problem because its frustrating the loading screens

Thx for video.For silver, fill up your arrows and go shoot at big fish. Fishing for silver. -Fill arrows by fast trav to Repcon sync point in Ledecestrescire. -Fishing - Big fish. Fast to Cragstone Tower in Glowecestrescire. Jump into the big lake from checkpt. Also, Go east to Cearrwell River. Really big fish there.

You don't need to go back to the ship to call your comrades , you can call them at any time. On pc you hold g and navigate to 'start rade'

@@TYLERSCHRIMSHER Hold the down arrow button on the d-pad to bring up your quick action wheel and you will see a two crossed axes clash icon that is called "Start Raid", just select this from the location you are in the river raif military camp or civilian village and Eivor will blow the battle horn and your Jomsvikings will come to you.

But to end a raid, you have to go back to the ship. No quick wheel action on ending a raid.

Yes the first tip is GREAT! I learned this when my guys kept dying and I kept having to heal them. Then all my guys die etc. so I was like man screw this can I just merk everyone first??

I only recruit jvikings that have a shield and spear. Those guys rarely go down. Fire is the only thing that takes em down. Before o raid, if I’m out of rations just, I just stop the boat and hunt animals on the shoreline. If you have the perk where the raven loots ranger targets for you, you’re never really out of rations.

I also wanted to note, they seem to have fixed the ability to level up your lieutenant through entering and exiting the rivers. I tried it yesterday, went in and back out four times, but he remained at level 1 until I actually went in an completed a few raids before he bumped to level 2; I think I did two actual raids on two rivers before he went to level 2.

Jomsvikings may be trash warriors but normal raven clan crews are even weaker warriors beyond tolerance level. Even mercenary ship lieutenants in the Odyssey were super effective. I wish Valhalla had such a system to train the vikings to getting more advanced.

I played this the first time through 4 years ago and just got fed up with this. I would do 2-3 farms or forts successfully, and then die, and have to do the whole thing over again. AND there's no health. They start you with 1 health when you had 3? Lame. And there's virtually no health. So the JK die all the time. While I like the game play, this was one of many things that made me frustrated.

Community jomsvikings are useless except for connect challenges. Level up your river raids jomsviking hut and ring the bell until you hire the highest level.

Sadly it doesn't seem as though this is true. I started and abandoned 2 raids and completed 3 others and my lieutenant hasn't leveled up at all. Bummer. 🙁 Thanks for the other tips though.

You can complete a river raid by just going to the river and abandoning. That will give you Ubisoft connect credit. RIver Raids are something more fun after you have totally upgraded your settlement and probably completed all the main quests.
