Shawn, I wish your 005 course was complete. It’s so much better than the garbage offered on Udemy. I am currently using your CBT nuggets 004 course to prepare for 005, trying to carefully select which videos to focus on and which to omit since the exam changed. Thanks for all that you do!

If you use dpkg to install a deb package. You can resolve its dependencies by using apt install -f

I think GUI version of dpkg (DebianPkg) installer is capable of handling those issues and helps us install dependencies too, instead of aborting it directly. I dont know about RPM because i started using red hat based linux recently. By the way, i love you videos. They are so interesting and never felt boring.

HI im always thankful for your videos!! they are really positive and amazingly helpful!! i've been reading a bit about the difference in dnf update and dnf upgrade and they seem to say that update is an alias to upgrade. And that doesnt seem to make much sense as that wouldnt be very reliable for a server. is this only true on fedora? or does this apply to redhat as well? this is what i see on my fedora Upgrade Command Command: upgrade Aliases: up Deprecated aliases: update, upgrade-to, update-to, localupdate dnf [options] upgrade Updates each package to the latest version that is both available and resolvable.

I believe YUM is a symlink to DNF these days, so you're probably always using DNF unless you're on something older.
