Can we undo the entire dnf update? What is the difference between the dnf undo update or revet the snapshot from the vcenter? Which one method is good in production to bring the machine in previous step ?

Dnf history undo is used to revert the changes for a few packages only, while in case of large number of packages and dependencies we prefer to restore the machine back from its backup.
