Sir How to understand if the system is depending on some existing package Because if we undergone patching it will also affect the installed software version and all can you update this

you cam use dry run feature, which will not install the packages however it will list out all the dependent packages which are going to upgrade/update as part of patching.

By default SAR can only be stored for one month however you can change log rotation policy to two months are more for keeping two months data.
