It was revealed by Dan Norton in a podcast at soundcloud.com/tcs2011int/cats2011-ros-revised that in season 2 Tygra would've: - Taken over as King after Liono went into the Book of Omens to train for 10 friggen years. - During which he and Cheetara wouldve had a little boy named Benghali. - Cheetara and Tygra also would've broken up due to disputes on how things should be ran under his rule since the war against Mummra was going terribly. - During a battle, Tygra would've taken a killing blow for Liono and admitted to him that he was the king they needed all along. - By the end of the series the creators were having disputes on wether or not to either A. Have Liono bring tygra back to life with the soul stone or B. Have Liono bring Benghali to the hall of Kings where he sees a giant statue of his father Tygra honoring his time as king.

Personally I think B of the ending would’ve been better because I think in most cases reviving a dead character is a giant cop out. Plus it would’ve shown how much Lion-o himself has grown since the beginning from someone who had jealousy to his brother to one who did see him as equal a leader if not more than him. Plus reviving Tygra brings up if they can bring him back why not more people like their parents, Jaga, or a few others. I feel that the deaths need to matter.
