The Transformer album was the first record (yes, record 😄) I ever bought with my own money as a kid. It was of course immediately scratched by my brother (🤣)! Anyway, I've always lover this solo. I didn't realize until decades later when I was buying some Suhr Aldrich pickups and trying to figure out who the heck this Doug Aldrich guy was that he was the same person who laid down one of my favorite guitar solos of all time on this song. Perfectly composed and played.

Thanks, Tommy! I did this one by ear. I used Eb tuning, although I believe standard tuning would work too aside from the harmonics I used during some of the sections. From what I remember, the solo for this cover was performed in D standard tuning. Hope that helps!
