That is a beautiful job on the gondolas! I like the black inside painting and the addition of the brake wheels that Lionel, sadly, dropped. They are close to scaale and with the sprung trucks look and operate really well! Very nice indeed.

Thanks for the kind note. This hobby is fun, can do things as we wish. Therse gondola's sell for 5 to 10 dollars now at train shows when in average condition. So 'improving" them has just been enjoyable.

I like your gondola upgrades. 😎👍 I made gravel/ballast loads for some of mine.

Thanks for your comments. I am just having fun. It may be silly trying to make 0-27 itmes a liitle more realistic, but I enjoy it and like the results. To each his own, and they are very inexpensive now. I see these at train shows for 5 to 10 dollars.

You have a beautiful layout there my friend. I’ve just got started collecting G scale train’s and have really had a great time learning how to setup the power system and I’m working on sound system now. And I love my NY Central diesel engine so much I’m getting another one soon I hope off eBay. Thanks for sharing and I’m subscriber number 75😃👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻

Very nice locomotives and gondolas. I weathered and graffitied several of those mpc gondolas for practice but left the plastic trucks.

An old post war transformer has better reliability and not so costly. Ouch $600 even half is a big bite. I’d say I have less than $100 in my ZW restored rebuilt with all the up grades including circuit breaker, power cord, & horn diode thingy. I guess I like your 027 gondolas better, not so long. Scale stuff generally looks too big. Nice video.

Thanks for the nice note, I have a ZW that runs one of my lines and a bunch of lights. I bought the Z4000's when they first came out. I like them, and would buy one again. The thing is with modern electronics, everything has personality and different traits dependending on when it was made. The old stuff is just plain predicatble ! I am torn between scale and traditional. I like it all ! Generally I run the scale like items on the upper O-72 lines, and the more traditional size on the lower O-42 lines. The nice thing is with 3rail trains we can just enjoy them. I love the You Tubes becaues I can see classic gems run, and the fancy new stuff. It is great to see differnt layouts. These are good times for toy and semi scale trains.
