This Lionchief BC loco seems like a great value. Scale details, runs smooth, smokes like crazy. This is the direction Lionel needs to go to survive.

I think you are right Jim. This model offered lots of detail and was a reasonably priced engine LionChief Plus but it cannot be operated with Legacy or Command Control. Lionel now has LionChief models that can. I do not have Legacy but I do have Command Control.
