Lionel FasTrack Double Crossover (Layout Update)

Today I show you the double crossover I have added to the layout. I used four 0-72 switches and a 45 degree crossover to achieve this with added straights in between. I really am enjoying the outcome. There is also a hint at the channels next video topic at the end. Sid, Why when I connect crossover both inner and outer rails short out?

You have your wires on the two loops different from each other.

how do you keep the tracks iisolated so you can run two seperate lines?

All of my O gauge trains create sparks when going over switches, is it because it’s not getting a good connection to the rails or did I not connect the track right? I get anxiety from even powering on the track so I’m just asking what it’s from

Just started following - have you tried using/programming any LCS track and having it automatically switch for you... this is why I have decided to stick with Fastrack. I have a computer background and love how LCS has allowed so many uses of engine recognition and track manipulation

Thanks. I think it would. You just need 4 switches (2 right, 2 left) and a crossover. If you start experimenting I bet you can find a way to make it work.

I recommend you put a Signal system in place. I built a crossover and almost had an accident
