Top5 seasons of messi:- (1)18/19 (sublime performances in each and every game and most complete version of messi in terms of goalscoring,freekicks,dribbling and playmaking) (2)14/15 (has a case for no1 but in 18/19 he almost single handedly won the treble unlike here with prime MSN, second best season of messi with a treble and 90+ g/a) (3)10/11 (most explosive messi alongside 11/12 & 12/13, but 10/11 is his 3rd best season because of his big match performances like ucl semifinal solo goal against madrid, outside of the box goal in ucl final vs man utd with the only 10/10 rating a player has ever achieved in ucl final) (4)11/12 (no description needed the best statistical individual season in FOOTBALL HISTORY, has case for no3 aswell) (5)12/13 (5th best season of messi and 2nd best goalscoring season of his career(69goals), 12/13 was on path to break his 11/12 record but injury in ucl match vs psg put a hold on things, also messi scored in 21 CONSECUTIVE league games a record which seems unbreakable like many other of his ofcourse) Rest top 5:- (6)09/10 (7)16/17 (8)08/09 (although messi won the sextuple but its his 8th best season because in his breakthrough year under guardiola messi was mostly playing at the wings which restricted his natural gamestyle which is playing centrally with more freedom on the pitch) (9) 17/18 (10) 15/16 Average seasons of messi ((world class for any footballers BTW)) (1) 21/22 (without a doubt his worst season) (2) 19/20 (covid struck season, lesser games but his dribbling this season was amazing) (3) 13/14 (even in his worst seasons he still manages to do something legendary, yes the world cup 2014 campaign in which he won the golden ball) ** 20/21 ** 22/23 Both these seasons are Goated because of copa America and world cup triumps at international levels but cant make it into his TOP 10 , since messi was already 33-35 years of age during these seasons hence those explosiveness,acceleration with change in direction, all slowed down naturally, still his playmaking was levels above any footballer . Club wise he was nowhere near his prime (2009-2019).
