It's interesting because if you look at stats alone, then Messi and Ronaldo were equal, as they both scored 53 goals that season. But you simply MUST look beyond stats to understand Messi's genius. He scored twice to knock out Real in the semis of the Champions League and then destroyed United in the final. He scored when it mattered most and led us to the double. Ronaldo did scored in the Copa final but Messi had the better season. Incredible, this little man is.

In my opinion Messi peaked in this season. He and Ronaldo Phenomenon are kinda similar when it comes about how early they picked (early 20s). Both were very agile and explosive... Messi never had a injury that could kill is career that Ronaldo have, but he got a lot of "little" injuries in mid and late 2013. I think those injuries took away a good portion of his acceleration and explosiveness. Messi after 2013 became much less dangerous.

I think 14-15 might have been Leo's best season regarding his overall play, and I do think that 2015 Messi is the best Messi, but his dribbling in the 10-11 season was on another echelon. His dribbling is close to that level now, but the ball was basically chained to his foot in that season. He literally destroyed Arsenal, Real, and Manchester United in the Champions League, and no one could stop him. I think it had to do with the fact that he still had that incredible pace (he was 23) and he entered his prime in terms of dribbling, passing, etc.

King Messi is the best football player in the world by far, and he is the greatest in history by far, there is no one better than King Messi and there never ever ever ever will be. Messi has mastered the hardest and most effective skill in football dribbling!!!!! ronaldo will beat 1 defender by doing 5 or 6 different skills, and Messi will beat 5 or 6 defenders using 1 skill, which is dribbling, I hate it when people compare ronaldo to Messi, Messi is 100 times a better player than ronaldo, the only reason they compare ronaldo to Messi is because ronaldo can keep up with the goals, and that's it, but take away the goals from ronaldo then what have you got? an average football player, who scores a lot of penalties, and does a few unafective step overs aha, just put it this way, when ronaldo does something great they compare him to King Messi, but when King Messi does something great, they compare him to pele and maradona, I mean come on you will never see ronaldo dribble past 5 or 6 defenders and then chip the goal keeper. you will just see him either doing a few stepovers and then placing the ball out to the side, and then blasting it!! or you will see him scoring a header, that he usually steals from another team mate, or you will just see him scoring a penalty or maybe a free kick if he's lucky!! and another thing ronaldo is not a good sports man, when Messi scores he points to the heavens, and kisses him FCB badge, but when ronaldo scores he either points to his leg?? or does that stupid celebration, where he jumps in the air, and acts like he has just won the champions league!! also when Messi's team mates scores he celebrates with them, acting like he has just scored his self!! but if ronaldo's team mates scores, he gets angry, he is gutted!! or if ronaldo makes an assist, he will celebrate his own assist by tapping his badge, or point up to his fans, and won't celebrate with his team mate who scored!! ronaldo only cares about his self, if his team lost 6-1 and ronaldo got that 1 goal, he wouldn't care that his team lost, he will be happy just as long as he's scored, so basically what I am trying to say is that, Lionel Messi is the best football player in the world, and the greatest football player ever to live!! and there is no one, not no one in past or present football to compare to King Messi, and there never ever ever ever ever ever will be!!!!! and that is me talking as a football fan and not a Lionel Messi fan!! I'll leave it at that!!!!!

It's amazing how many bodies he can get through, it doesn't matter if they are physical with him he will always sneak past you somehow, that's why I sit and watch him every weekend, he is a joy to watch. Sorry but no other player in the world approaches his magic
