Welcome to the finale of the Lionel/MTH O gauge/scale layout expansion! We take a look at the finished bridge/trestle installed on the layout, as well as recap the items used for the expansion. We also break down the price of the expansion and how much it cost to perform. Stick around till the end to see some trains running!
I apologize for a few bad audio spots. My mic went a little haywire a couple times.

Zack I’ve used wood ties to fill in the gaps on mine. Got them off eBay a while back. Still have around 500 or so left over for now. For ballast I’ve used the roof material stone. Picked up a 5 gallon bucket off of abc builders supply on Phillips highway in Jacksonville. Used approximately a 1/3 of it to do an 8x16 modular o Guage layout

What a great accomplishment to share, and all of this in less than a month's time! You're a really dedicated o gauge hobbiest! Looking forward to the finished scenery. That ought to be icing on the cake! Will you be making the ballast more permanent or will you still leave it loose like the litter? Ballasting the elevated loop will be a big challenge, but having followed your adventure, there doesn't seem to be much you can't do! Take care, Zack! All the best!

Zack, to save ballast for your tubular track, see if you can get the rubber track ties. I found some on ebay. Or, if you have the time you could cut and stain your own from pine.

Looks great, nice job. I want to see it totally finished with all the landscaping and buildings. I'm sure it will just enhance the entire layout. One thing, though, on the elevated line, I am surprised you didn't install the tubular track on cork roadbed. This would make it a little quieter on the upper level. But that said, you did a great job, Kudos!
