Someone should give this guy a medal. Running a 700E on a proper radius track with the proper RC passenger cars. When I see this, I have hope for our hobby. I was lucky enough to order one of these from Nassau Hobby Center the one year it was offered - 2010. I'm still financially recovering (haha). I use the VL to pull 700 series scale freights and my 1990 to pull the RC cars. Both have the scale pilot installed. 3R modeling at its absolute best.

It's great that SID point's out the MINOR inaccuracies though not many. The Backlight on the Coal Tender is actually an IMPROVEMENT, but it would have been good to have the Engineer window being accurate, the PLATE is too small and of course, saying LIONEL LINES is just the company's personal touch. A VERY COOL feature is how the Train's BELL moves! THANKS!

Cool video, and you have an amazing collection of Lionels. I wish Lionel would remake the original version of the 700E. I understand it everyone wants the latest and greatest of digital technology BS. But one the one thing Lionel built their reputation on was simplicity and reliability. You'll never have either using circuit boards and micro chips. Don't get me wrong here it's not that I don't appreciate it as technology advances. I own a Lionel 785 and a K-Line Hudson with all the bells and whistles of Lionels technology. I'm just wondering why they wouldn't offer a simplistic variation of the original 700E like they were? With the option for the upgraded digital sounds and DC drive. Just dreaming here I guess?

You have nice trains Nice layout.However you showed the outside of train.And did not show engineer inside driving the Train.Watch one of my video and see what iam talking about.You want to enhance video.Put the camera up close to engineer inside train.Show all the bolts and screws and wires inside cab area.I pray you get a million Views.👍
