Imagine having a whole ass career and family legacy due to having the perfect voice for announcing fights. Amazing stuff! Love both of the Buffer brothers. I met Bruce at a UFC event, and he seemed like a genuinely cool dude. He's also funny as hell, which you don't necessarily expect just seeing him announce fights.

@@lionelrivera_MMA It was after UFC 86, at the Mandalay in Vegas. First thing he did was joke about how much makeup he was wearing (it was a lot, due to being on camera). He was taking pictures with fans and signing autographs. I still have mine in a box of old memorabilia. Dude has the whitest teeth I've ever seen, and was really nice to the hordes of fans surrounding him. Good times.

@lionelrivera_MMA I've heard it hurts you in the algorithm if you leave a livestream up, but I don't know if that's true or not. A lot of successful channels release regular uploads and stream, but delete the streams immediately thereafter. I'm only speculating based on what other KZbinrs have said, so take this with a grain of salt. Hopefully it's helpful in some small way.

Bruce is a businessman. When he reties, he'll almost certainly license "it's time!" to the UFC and just let those checks pay for his retirement. Then again, he's definitely loaded at this point, maybe he retires "it's time" alongside himself for legacy purposes, but I dont think he will. He's a genuine guy, knows the fans want it, and can make money off of allowing it to stay in the UFC.
@spectrent12 күн бұрын
I don’t think the it’s time will remain, it feels disingenuous when someone else does it. I hope he retires it for his legacy.

He is the worst and by far the most annoying ring announcer in the history of sport. His brother may well be the best ever but Bruce?..please. It takes him 10 minutes to introduce two fighters. I always mute the volume when he comes on. I can't believe how popular he is lol. Does he really think he needs to tell everyone "this is the moment you've been waiting for"? I guess nobody knew that until he told us lol.
