Once again it shows how difficult is a male lion's life, things can change so quickly, one day you are a king next day you are gone

I dont understand this at all. They helped him with the snare, but will watch him die with this. It makes absolutely no sense. They can clearly see he has probably got an infection, but will just watch until it's so bad that he dies from it instead of doing a small part in helping him.

Just goes to show you how fast nature can turn on the weak. The Lionesses probably resent Red Road eating part of the kill as injured when it could go to the cubs and themselves. At this point in any rejection, I doubt the pass good times are remembered. Only survival instincts kick in and count. Poor Red Road. He may not recover. No matter what, he was and is an awesome Lion who was a good husband, father, brother, provider and protector. He will always be KING in my book.

As someone else mentioned it was just the one lioness that was upset over something. The rest seem to be ok in the video. Hopefully it was nothing more than a little spat like all prides have. Red road seems to have eaten so that is a good sign. The lioness just showed teeth and they didn’t try to attack him or chase him off so that is the main thing.

If they would have known that their pride male went up against two adults male the tintswalos and I mean he fought his butt off when normally 2v1 it’s not good at they will kill the 1 male lion but only if his ladies new not only did he fight and he did more damage to them I think that they done to him for it to b 2v1 and he hide two weeks no food probably a little water here and there but he couldn’t contact call them because he was in-mobile and the tintswalo males could have heard him and he was in no shape for round 2 they would have killed him especially if they had the third brother with him but unfortunately his pride don’t know how much he fought for them and how bad they need to support him and get him back healthy because they will need him red road has 9 Cubs and the tinyswalos will kill every one of them, and red road is still in the beginning of his prime he be 7 that’s a good age but he needs food, water, and support and protection while he gets better so I guess we will see wat happen

That is pretty much the same dynamics in most species, especially with human females. Once the high earning husband loses his job, he loses confidence and status in the eyes of his wife and society and she sees him as a beta/ liability and the wife starts looking to fuck an alpha and will monkey branch if the husband cannot recover soon.

I really love the red road male! I’m hoping and praying he makes a good recovery and soon. I know nature is very harsh especially for Lions but seems to me that since the saying is “There’s nothing that speaks of Africa like the Lion”, then, in my opinion, they should call the vets out to help him! When I look at all the many herds of Buffalos and other herds that are sources of food for lions and then look at the scarcity of lions in the wild it makes more sense to me to help the lions because they control over abundance of these animals. Without the lions and leopards to control them nature would be out of balance. So, yes, I really do think and believe they need to send a vet out to help Red Road as well as other lions. On another note about the female lion being aggressive towards him, I also understand the females aggression but will say this; I hope he gets better and he beats her a.., fir treating him like that. The muscle is torn off the bone or something how can that ever heal on its own? Can the vets dart him and then do some kind of medical procedure? Probably not. If he doesn't have a miracle recovery I don't know how RRM will ever recover and keep his pride.

I hope he learned his lesson, stays put and leaves those other males alone. He’s a solitary male and I would hate to see him end up like Ottawa because he wanted to sniff some different tail.
