Bellanca was headquartered in Alexandria, MN (KAXN). I partially grew up 45 minutes from there. Quite the performer in it's day!

There are Super Vikings with Lycoming's and Continentals. Some were turbocharged. Some even had a ski tube! 1979 and later have many favorable improvements but all have Continental engines. I am a pilot and aircraft mechanic. Steel tube fuselage, wood wing, and fabric covering. Some of the interiors reminded me of velvet paintings, but good workmanship.

There's a 70s supercar called the DeTomaso Pantera - Italian styling with a big block Chevy V8 in the back. This is definitely the DeTomaso Pantera of aircraft. Will pick this up for a tenner. Looks like one of Lionheart's better planes.

When I was flying IRL about 40 years ago, I lusted for one of these really badly. I just bought it of MSFS and have yet to fly it.

I like it. It's fast, easy to fly and everything works. I bought it on sale so it was very reasonable. No complaints!

The De Tomaso Pantera would be the car analogue. Italian design, Ford 351 power.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome! And on tonight's show! (Yes i'm still doing this. It's my thing, now. :p) Jane Clarkson flies a plane that is covered in fabric both inside and out! We meet Mr. Otto Pilot Senior and push his buttons! And Captain Whiskers appears in a dramatic twist! Also, i'm in the process of going hype-overdrive waiting for the Black Square TBM. And the Duke after that. Maybe the SWS PC-12 too, but without failures and stuff, that's looking a little less interesting by comparison, now. In any case, 'tis a good time to be a flight simmer! :)

Did you have any issues when using the autopilot altitude hold switch? Whenever I flick that switch on, the plane goes into a nosedive and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong!

Thank you for letting us know about the autopilot. I don’t think she knows how to use one. 9 dollars is cheap but if the systems do not work who cares if it is spicy?

@@donaldholman9070 I’ve got it working for me. I installed the free Working Title GNS 430/530 (which I had uninstalled ages ago because my Carenado Bonanza V35 doesn’t play with it nicely) and then it works fine. Engaging the Alt switch holds the altitude. To change altitude, disengage Alt switch (leaving pitch switch engaged) and use mouse wheel over the end rocker switch to change vertical speed/pitch. Flick the Alt hold switch on again when desired level reached.

I don't now why when i low the flaps in position 1 or 2 below 95 knots the plane reaction is fall directly in stall like the " Maveric Tomcat " in Top Gun 1 . In the same way is n't possible take off with even a bit of flaps.

Great review! Question/opinion... which do you prefer this plane or the Carenado Archer? I've been looking at the Archer recently for a small GA to add but I don't need two planes with basically the same style. Your thoughts?

hm, Archer is great but kinda generic... very piper. This is unusual and faster and looks quite interesting. certainly the Carenado has far better visuals... but more generic flight model. Its a personal choice I think.

everything on th carenado archer works but this planes autopilot is not functioning properly and probably either other systems are crap too
