An excellent typical in depth Review as usual. Carl was German and started Svenska Aero in Sweden before moving back to Germany. The lovely Beate Koestlin was his Test Pilot. At first Carl was viewed with suspicion by Mr Hitler and this Aircraft was almost a None Runner as a Trainer for the Luftwaffe until ii's Engine's power was improved. There were also delay's and a Pilot of a Steiglitz Aircraft which was also being concidered as a Trainer by the Luftwaffe lost control and 'Landed' on Bucker's Production Hanger. An Accident, possible Sabotage or maybe just Steiglitz's idea of Quality Control ! When Lion Heart gave us the News that their Talented Team were making a Jungmeister we were hoping that this would be the 133 version. This BU 131 is most certainly a well rendered Aircraft and so like the Tiger Moth in many way's We're concidering this 131 after your Review and when Lion Heart's Tiger Moth comes along it will also have a special place in BCP's Hanger. Regards from Thom and BCP. ps You're German accent was perfect ! BCP said you must be a Fan of Don't Trust the Rabbit. kzbin.info/door/1-MpIG20o6kzsu1I5SLXpQ

You should try the Nieuport 17 from Big Radials, it’s currently my favorite biplane in the game, much more fun than the stearman, the stearman is a little bland for me, ground handling/takeoff and landing is too easy for my liking. Try the Nieuport tho i think you might like it!

I saw several Jungmanns a few (hm, rather many) years ago at the Hahnweide fly-in in Germany and absolutely loved them! Nice to see it so beautifully modelled in MSFS. Very tempted to get it, although I already have more planes than I can fly ;) Thank you for the review!

Mate! Can one ever have too many aeroplanes? It is nice to be spoilt for choice, as it is said. I have been simming for decades and I used to purchase everything almost, but now I am more choosey. I want authentic material and at the moment I am shying away from anything that doesn't shape up to the real thing and chief among all for me at the moment is sound. If the sounds are below par my money stays in my pocket. Sound is so important for immersion and where I can sometimes ignore small glitches in graphics I can't when it comes to sound. I hope developers understand how important sound is to us for immersion. And as the sound in this aircraft is from a Cessna 172 I won't be buying it. A developer's laziness won't get my money out of my pocket.
@volkerjansen39013 жыл бұрын
@@MegaPeedee I mostly agree with what you say regarding the sounds. As far as I know, Lionheart is a single person, and with the modern MSFS standards it seems it is really, really hard to cover all the topics from 3D modelling to gauges to flight modelling to sounds without gathering a team of experts. Lionheart seems to have put a lot of effort and passion into this plane, and he is honest about his missing sound skills. For me personally, that is okay, and I am planning to buy the plane once it is available at JustFlight.

Thank you for this fantastic video and review. The level and quality in the details and textures of this Bücker "Jungman" by Lionhearth is incredible, but unfortunately it has two errors in the modeling of the plane. First it has an excessively long nose for the original Hirth 504 engine from the 1930s and the second has a tail and rudder that are a bit big and high compared to the real plane, a pity. For these two details I believe that the designer has chosen for the rendering the Bücker C-104 (Z-131) model built in Czechoslovakia equipped with the Walter Minor 4 engine and not the original German Bü 131 A/B built in Germany, Switzerland, Spain or in the same Czechoslovakia (Aero C-4) equipped with the Hirth 504 engine.

The only complaint I have about this aircraft, is that there is a fish eye lens effect when in cockpit view that doesn’t seem to exist in other aircraft. It can be a bit much when you’re playing on a huge monitor.

Does seem a little long but I think it’s an optical illusion?

@@AvAngel I noticed it the most when I pan from side to side, 180 degrees wing to wing. You can kind of see the distortion. I haven’t noticed that with other aircraft. It’s not a dealbreaker on this one, but it is noticeable.

Enjoyed your review, as a result I bought the plane. Then struck a problem I haven't had before. The plane doesn't respond to the throttle or mixture. It just sits there ticking over. I wonder if I have missed something. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to it.

According to Lionheart, the sound set is from a Cessna 172. I hope they'll manage to find a better option for it in the future.
@AvAngel3 жыл бұрын
I hope so, but for now it doesn't actually bother me... its a 4 banger too... and not a hugely powerful one, other than wind sounds and being 100% accurate, its not glaring, does that make sense?
@Breezew1nd3 жыл бұрын
@@AvAngel Yeah, probably it won't bother everyone, and it was just my personal take on the topic. It still sounds to my ears like a closed-cockpit plane. A good review nevertheless.
@AvAngel3 жыл бұрын
There's room for patches, and its easier to fix that than a derpy model or awful textures... worst comes to worst there's soundpacks like the little Ryan that would fit perfectly with wind and similar powerplant.
@Breezew1nd3 жыл бұрын
@@AvAngel If it was easier to fix, I'm curious, then why so many third party add-ons in MSFS have problems with the audio portion of development, and not that many of them seem to actually improve much in that regard after the launch? Do you mean the A1R Design Bureau's Ryan for MSFS? I don't actually know much about it, and am curious if the sounds could be aliased for the Jungmann? I really want to buy this plane for myself, but I've ended up with a plane without proper audio for several times already.
@rolanddutton47233 жыл бұрын
@@Breezew1nd it's not too difficult to swap the sound packs, if you've bought the Ryan. There's guides on the Web. Basically you need to copy over a couple of files from the sound directory and edit a json file. It's honestly not as bad as it sounds. The Caudron would work too as it also has an inverted 4 cylinder motor.

with msfs looking so good in VFR, i think the sim hasn`t got the attention on the sounds it deserves with the right devs. i have the Neiuport 17 by big radials and it too creaks as load in the controls are applied. you can hear the cables and control surfaces move. and the engine sounds on finals as it put puts its way down is just like being at shuttleworth on airshow day. some of the jets too , hearing the actuators and control surfaces. not been a biplane fan much but do enjoy the 17 although i did find the wright flyer interesting in fs 2004. one of the moths would be a great addition. bet your experience in the tiger was fun?

I have given a thumbs down on this one because toy didn't mention that the engine sound is from a Cessna 172. I could tell it was off from when you started the engine and I think that is the first negative you should have mentioned. My recommendation to potential buyers is "Don't". We must force developers to give us authentic material, after all it is our money they want - we wouldn't, I hope, knowingly buy any other inferior product so why should we with sim products.
