Kudos to the actors. The "possession" theme is very well depicted. They go very far in showing and making the viewer feel the level of violence shown to the former masters. A scene where a terrified woman gets grabbed and screams and begs is very hard to do for all actors involved. Abuse of female slaves was commonplace, so the roles were reversed when the uprising broke out. Most history books won't even hint at this aspect. This short film does a good job at portraying it while sparing the actors.

Why do we look so different in the first place?”, a curious mind may ask. “We could have all looked the same and there would be no racism or bigotry.” “We would have all been citizens of the world with no questions asked.” The answer given by Islam is precise, yet very profound. وَ جَعَلۡنٰکُمۡ شُعُوۡبًا وَّ قَبَآئِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوۡا “… and we have made you tribes and sub-tribes that you may know one another.” (Surah al-Hujurat, Ch.49: V.14) The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said in his farewell sermon: “An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have any superiority over an Arab; A white person has no superiority over black person, nor does a black have any superiority over white, except by piety and good actions.”

Bible also says "Live by the sword, die by the sword..." Our friend Turner should have asked his probably illiterate followers "Are you so dedicated to my revolution that you are also willing to lose your friends and family that have also not been taken by slavery, as I have? Such is the way of war..." Out friend would have been more effective pursuing his revolution my teaching his followers to read, as he could, but that would take away from his power...how many revolutionary movements as such become corrupted when their leaders enjoys the sweet wine of power from the Dragon Whores cup? China, Cuba, France, Haiti even...America even....

America even, yes, no where in the world does this saying hold more truth "Ignorance is the greatest resource of a politician"...even more so than China. Turner shows us this now, God spared America that time, it was not her time yet, we do not have to wait for long.

Ok maybe not the children, but I believe the the slave owners got what they deserved. What they did in the simplest term just wasn’t right. It’s not fair that our ancestors had to be treated harshly. The use of the word "okay" by Nat in this film seems out of place. Although the expression was coming into use at this time, it wasn't yet widespread, originating as a reference to politician & eventual presidential candidate Martin Van Buren of "Old Kinderhook", his residence in New York. Don't believe the word "okay" could've filtered down into the rural countryside of Va. at the time of Turner's rebellion.

@@skullraider7565 Henry "Nat" Turner did NOT kill or order the killing of poor whites, per the testimony of Jarell Judkins in court. No one on here can provide one ounce of proof otherwise that isn't dubious. There were 300 armed men, half on foot and half on horseback marching down the street. Most farms or plantations did not have many slaves. There were two commanders, Hark "Hercules" Moore, who was not opposed to killing any and all. The group of 300 men were not under Turner's command until the rendezvous point. They only caught 50 or 60. Everyone on here who claims he killed kids or murdered babies in the crib only rely on the garbage lies told by Thomas R. Gray in court. And I can prove that Gray lied under oath 3 times in court. Liars on here love portraying Henry Nat Turner as a baby murderer, instead of addressing real facts with hard evidence. I challenge anyone on here to find one ounce of proof that Henry Nat Turner killed babies. Only sources are the garbage lies of Thomas R. Gray who lied under oath 3 times in court.

@@TheSacredImmortal well actually Eminem Is the Greatest Rapper of All Time Since he began his music career in 1988, Marshall Mathers, better known by his stage name Eminem, has established himself as one of the best rappers of all time. As a global superstar and celebrity icon, Eminem has broken sales records and broke racial barriers in the rap business. Eminem has had a difficult road to go to get to where he is now. When rap was seen as a black-only business, it was an uphill climb for a white rapper to become the best of the best. The reason Eminem is regarded as the greatest rapper of all time will be revealed here. Eminem’s rap songs generally dealt with subjects from his personal life, such as his marriage and children and his mother’s struggles with substance abuse and alcoholism. He was expelled three times in ninth grade, and in high school, he was beaten and ridiculed. In addition to drug abuse and poverty, he was unable to work. Before he became Eminem, he was a dishwasher at a fast-food joint. Later on, in his rap career, he was awarded the first Academy Award in 2003 for a rap song called Lose Yourself, which was used in his film 8 Mile, which is based on his life, later earning two Grammys for the explosive record. When he competed in the Rap Olympics and finished second, Eminem became a household name. Dr. Dre, the owner of a music recording firm, listened to his demo cassette of The Slim Shady EP. After hearing it, he was taken aback by what he heard and said it was unlike anything he’d heard in his entire rap career. After its release, the album quickly rose to the top of the charts that year. Later on, Eminem released The Marshall Mathers LP, which broke the Guinness world record as the fastest-selling hip hop album making a sale of 1.3 million units in one week, and the fastest-selling solo album. Over 19 million copies of the Marshall Mathers LP have been sold worldwide, winning the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and a nomination for Album of the Year. Due to Eminem’s race and lack of lyrical ability, he was never afraid of failure; therefore, he worked tirelessly to perfect his lengthy rhyming skills. He drew inspiration from his hardships to write some of the most acclaimed songs of all time, which many consider masterpieces. In the early 2000s, Eminem’s music was trendy, and he is often recognized as Dr. Dre’s best signing on Aftermath Records. He ruled the rap industry with hits like Stan, Lose Yourself, The Real Slim Shady, and more recent singles like Not Afraid, Rap God, and Love the Way you lie. His command of language and his distinctive voice distinguish him from the rest. Unlike everyone else in the industry, Eminem’s brain registers words based on their sounds considerably more strongly than anyone else, which is why he can compose densely layered sequences of phrases that have highly similar sounds.
