Very well done documentary done by the ancestor of Nat Turner, a very brave and courageous freedom fighter. I wouldn't even want to imagine the ordeal he went through in his life, even towards the end having to hide out in a makeshift cave for 70days, then his tragic death. Yes I believe he was a willing worker of God, doing His bidding, as He had others workers in the past, fight battles. And yes I believe he now has a special place with God.

You people cussing each other out in the comments should stop. Why you cussing each other out and using the bible to do it? That's crazy. Just chill. You all can simply agree to disagree and move on. That's the main problem with black people in America, we never truly support one another but are quick as hell to tear one another down when there's a different point of view. We would truly be a powerful force in America if we could get past our own bullshit. PEACE

@@mofresh87 The USA oppresses people AROUND THE WORLD, even during our lives. Drone strikes on civilians, both by the USA, AND also by those we've sold our weapons to, like UAE in Yemen. We are trying to foment troubles in Venezuela so that our puppet can be put in, instead of their own elected President. That is just SOME examples. I think ALL violence is sad, but it is a cycle that has been started LONG ago, and it is hard to break out of the cycles. Even Ghandi wasn't perfect. I'm WITH Ibram Kendi when he says that greed is behind racism.

Nat Turner’s Mom came from St Dominique (Haiti). The successful Haitian Revolution had already happened which inspired the formerly enslaved. - The invention of the cotton gin drove the slave trade - The 1803 Louisiana Purchase (which included Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Nebraska, etc) the USA, - In 1808, Thomas Jefferson, in accordance with the American Revolution terms, ends the importation of Africans, which skyrocketed the price of the enslaved that gave birth to the breeding farms

I believe the slaves fought against him because they didn't want to be separated from their families and suffer anymore antrocities they were already enduring. If you turned on your owner you were separated from what was assumed to be your family despite your own mother was unlikely to raise you. I'n an act of retaliation you was sent to another farm.

Honestly in my researched of Nat Turner I got physically sick at times, it was like a story for the book Without Sanctuary. I know of the evils of esau and they have done everything under the sun. They used to put their private parts, noses, ears and other things right in the windows of their shops. But the part that made me had to break a break and throw up was when I read they made soap from his fat. I can’t put into word the pure evil horror that imagery put in my head. I have done plenty of research on wicked esau and I was never surprised, even when it said the made him into lamp shades and belt buckles because they did it to plenty others, but to wash your body with that of a dead man you literally boiled. Come on that statement just shows you how sick in the head they are, make soap out of a human body, their sick and need the great waster ASAP.

If you listen closely to this documentary you will see that Nat Turner was a name they wanted to erase because he was like a slap in the face to them. Mainly because they " let"him read. When he first put that Bible in his hands, and was reading to other slaves, this was allowed because the Bible is always viewed as keeping people at their most positive state, and the overseers felt it would just make them better workers=more money. So that was the slap in the face, letting him read, so his name, must be erased, and no picture of his face draped. Because back then, some white people way of thinking was no black person had intelligence of white people, where they got that backward thinking. Do tell? See one thing about that Bible, when you start reading God's Word it wakes up that spirit that every human being on planet Earth possess. And when you are going to hard and bad times, and are quiet and alone, that holy spirit speaks to you, guides, and directs you. One thing they couldn't erase was the official court records of the confessions of Nat Turner, because of the deaths, it had to be recorded. So he definitely existed. Even as a small child he was gifted, and spoke with intellect, and was told he was a prophet because he spoke things they told him happened before he was born. So it seemed he had this calling from God on his life. but he followed instructions given from his spirit. This is not a debate, this is History.

Love the story and the passion of Nat, but Nat Turner should have considered God said Vengeance is his. Deuteronomy 32:35, Lamentations chapter 3

Adina B. The same God that commanded His soldiers to go into the evil cities and kill the ppl and animals? Spare not even the babies? God is behind every righteous thing we do in the name of peace and justice. We are His Hands and feet, God? Faith without works is dead God? Doing wrong to ppl u do it DIRECTLY to Him God. He's OUR driving force. He is Peace, and Justice. We should do nothing out of SELFISH ambition. Righting a wrong done to His Glory is permitted. We might even die in the process, do it for the GREATER good. No cowards allowed into the Kingdom

ONLY *HE* will deliver the evil one and his agents into our hands, obey the commandments ave let Him USE you for His purposes of helping his kingdom come, on Earth, as it is in heaven. I don't even fight, but i understand Murder is cold, innocent blood. Not stopping the murderous. That's called JUSTICE

ah so these are the kinda guys why kkk burn christian crosses? theres a tradition of black millenial/prophetic sort of fundamentalism in the south ? (like Jan Matthys and the anabaptist kingdom in Münster, thinking themself to be the 'new Gideon' or something) never understood why the same people who hoist flag with st andrew/george cross burn crucifixes...

And WELL'WELL in just about 1:19:35 minutes of his own opinion and thought I'm just saying do your own homework/research for yourself "BLACK FIRST". Because it is always, always in black and white on white paper in black ink sometimes in blue ink but never in red I'm just saying because I am doing my homework/research for myself and not,not on the Internet but with the real books in my hand I got to have the real book for my research.
