Male Lion, Veyetsi gets a little too curious with the GoPro gang’s car door. It goes to show that lions are powerful and dangerous creatures and should be treated with respect. They drive off to safety but the playful lions give chase, naughty lions!

The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is to provide a self-sustaining African carnivore sanctuary for the purposes of wild species preservation through education, awareness and funding, especially pertaining to the rapid decline of large carnivores in Africa due to habitat loss, human-predator conflict, unscrupulous hunting, disease and their illegal trade.
To raise awareness, Kevin has now set up his KZbin Channel 'LionWhispererTV'. The channel is all about raising awareness about not only the declining numbers of lions, but also how this rapid decrease is happening. By watching these videos, you are directly contributing to our scheme of land acquisition.
Kevin captures the majority of his footage on GoPro cameras, allowing the viewer to get as close as possible to the lions.
By doing this, Kevin hopes to give people an insight into the lives of these beautiful creatures and to let them see just what they can do to help. You can nearly touch them.

And it's a little chilling, considering that 4 years later one of his lions would chase down an Impala and kill the woman in it. It was just this same scenario...he was walking some lions, and a vehicle drove through, and the lions chased it. Only this time they caught the car a mile and a half later and mauled to death the young woman who was in the car.

A nice Fun Guy A warning. Lions do it to each other when they get annoyed or are not in the mood to be around other lions. Likewise, since the lions accept Kevin as part of their pact members, he learned their language and did the same. It's a human version of a lion's way to say he didn't like it. Those weird sounds he makes in the video are also significant for other things in the lion language. It's really cool cause normally animals are trained to learn and respond to human language but instead Kevin's learned to respond and act in the way of the lions.

Not really, those lions were more curious if anything. If they wanted a meal they would have attacked the cameraman because he would be an easier meal. I think those lions were in a playful mood and even then they seem to be familiar with the cameraman.

The Lion Whisperer I'd bet most people like watching interaction with the lions, but my favorite is the hyenas. Though Kevins interaction with lions is amazing and the most unique bonding and acceptance I've ever seen, or could have imagined possible, there are others that have managed to form relationship with lions and other big cats. But there isn't anyone that I'm aware of that has done this with hyenas, or has the fortitude to try.

This guy raised these lions if you watch his videos he explains that he has grown to know them and knows when they are in a bad mood and when not to mess with them. He clearly is a master at what he does. And honestly Lions are protective and loyal as hell and they wouldn't attack him for no reason unless provoked or threatened but he is smart enough to know what to do and what not to do because he knows the lions and their personalities. Seriously if you just watch some of his videos he explains and you can see this in action. He respects the lions and they respect him I don't see a situation where they would attack him unless he made a big mistake. But the more I watch his videos I doubt that will ever happen he's smart as hell and really understands the animals.

You are never 100% safe with a big, strong predator, even if tame. They still have wild instincts and urges. You never know if something will set them off. Most animal experts warn against having wild animals as pets.

actually, knocking mirrors of cars isn't that hard... when in high school, and we went out on weekends, got drunk, and knocked several mirrors off of parked cars. quite easy actually. i know, stupid thing to do, but we were young... that being said, lions are still strong as hell. ;)
