for sure, I remember watching that game. I thought it was a higher scoring game. Boy, Lions really had a talented team, so sad they let it fall apart. You want to give Barry the ball every play to see if he can break out, but then you had great talented receivers. Would have been nice to get a couple Cowboy players to talk about the game in this video. Always loved those throwback jerseys the Lions wore then. Seemed like it made Barry faster for some reason, more sleek.

Watching Emmitt and Barry its blatantly obvious who the better back was, and which back had the better team around him. It's not even debatable how much better, in terms of pure skill and ability, Barry was compared to Emmitt. Emmitt was a good back. But if you put Barry on that Cowboys team, he would've had video game like stats & set records that no one would ever come close to touching.

Most of the guys started watching the game, but by the time it went into overtime there was just a couple of us left. After Hanson kicked that field goal to win it l hurried over to shut the tv off and hit the sack. I was so happy the next day l wasn't even tired.

One of the biggest games of my life as a Lion fan ( 56 yrs old ) I remember Wayne Fontes saying the Lions were going to Dallas and show them what the Honolulu Blue and Silver is all about , this game was personal for Barry and the Lions , the media criticized Barry saying he doesn't follow his blockers and makes his first cut five yards behind the line of scrimmage whereas Emmit made his first cut five yards down field because of the great blocking, Lomas Brown said before the game in the locker room that Barry had a look in his eye he'd never seen before , I celebrated , I cried , I drank beer as that was a win for their character and toughness at the time , the Lions of the 90's were good enough to compete for a Superbowl but Washington, Dallas and San Francisco were to powerful in the NFC back then , I still have my Lions Starter jacket I bought in 1990

It was 51-7 at one point in that game! In the meantime, Dallas went on to win the Super Bowl that year. Oh well. As great as Barry was he was great, he just disappeared come playoff time. Barry only scored ONE TOUCHDOWN IN THE PLAYOFFS against Dallas in 1991. Compared that with Emmitt who has the most touchdowns in the playoffs for a running back tied with Thurman Thomas. Most rushing yards in the playoffs, most 100 yard games in the playoffs, and 3 Super Bowls. Dallas got it done with Troy Aikman at QB and Michael Irvin as receiver. The Lions had their one season in 1991 and when they had go to RFK, they got crushed and NEVER won at RFK against the Redskins. The window shut after 1991 and sadly Barry couldn't do anything in the playoffs compared with Emmitt.
