Lions are so often thought to be the King of beast/Jungle but the reality is far from the truth. This video will show the real challenges lions face in the build up to a successful hunt. They still only are successful 1 out of every 10 hunts.

Cape buffalos are the biggest prey animal a lion can take (rhino, elephant, hippo young or seriously ill) Capes are extremely powerful and dangerous and lions very rarely attack them in the day. Those big dominate bulls are out of reach for most normal size prides. Buffalo have a complex heard structure too and will usually protect each other. Amazing animals. That first sighting was a group of old bulls that leave the main heard due to young bulls harassing them. One of my fav animals.

It is better if the lions population is brought down because the number of buffaloes and other animals ( on whom they’re dependent) are limited. It takes nearly ten odd years for a buffalo to be what it is , but it takes one day for lions to finish it.

Elephants are the biggest land mammals. Yet the biggest elephant in the world see lions as it's hunter. So no herbivore in the world is king. Because lions have eaten all their meat. At night buffalos have poor eye site. And they must definitely kill one . No doubt about that. Buffalos are good in resistance and family defence. But at night. They become more vulnerable because their self defense is only helpful at day time. At night they will scatter.

A lion is powerful but not even a big make lion in is prime will not tangle with a big male buffalo in his prime on a one on one for fear of being gored and possible suffer from broken bones and dieing of infection from that fight ,so the make lion may with help but never alone because of risky by himself or unless he is extremely desperate .

Lions hunt with their ears, they hear weakness in their prey! Then they focus on that particular animal! What these videos don't show is that they have been chasing this herd for days to get to a old or injured buffalo! Eventually the hurd will have to leave the weaker one behind and the lion's will prevail! It's survival of the fittest !!

Le lion n'est pas le roi de la jungle, d'abord parce qu'il ne vit pas dans la jungle mais dans la savane. Ensuite il n'est le roi de rien du tout. NADA ! Pour moi le véritable roi des animaux est l'éléphant car regardez les vidéos: même devant 10 ou 15 lions devant lui, l'éléphant va continuer sa route imperturbablement et les lions s'écarter !
