The seam allowance seems minimal. Is is 1/4 or 1/8? Thanks for the video. I will be creating some of my own.

Yes, it is about 1/4. It would fit about 3 pens. If I want only 2 pens to fit I would just sew a little further in. It depends on you though how big you would like it and how many pens you want it to fit. You’re welcome!

Why not topstich the top of the pocket?

You can topstitch it to give it a nice look. I forgot to do it on mine.
