Hi Robin, I bought a darling wide elastic lanyard with a swivel clip at the bottom. HOWEVER the way that it is sewn it is aggravating ad it is in the conventional style and the elastic is too wide and stiff to allow it to lay straight on a persons neck ( especially if they are using another other kind of strap like a bag or a leash etc.) I bought it from Amazon and will be returning it because it is just to backward and twisty. I think you ough to reach out to them as well as to how to make them better, because it would be your consel that helped out. Thanks.

Hi 👋 I’m hoping you can please help me. I’m using this type of technique to make a drawstring for a basket liner. The drawstring had to be longer so I sewed strips together to achieve my length. Now that I have it all folded and ready to sew, I’m struggling where the seams of my strips are. My Singer 6600C HD doesn’t want to move it forward. I’m wondering if I need to lengthen my stitch, use a different foot from the standard one, or something else you may suggest. I’m very new to sewing and I’m not exactly sure what to do. Please and thank you in advance for any help.
@RobynsLoveofSewing5 ай бұрын
Hi, without being able to see how you sewed the strips together, it sounds like there is too much bulk in the seam for your sewing machine to sew over. The trick is to sew your strips together on a diagonal, so when you fold it together the seam allowance is less bulky. Here is a video to show you how to do this kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3SUn5t9iLmsarcsi=R7Q93w1zcXdV6R36 and then it will be much easier to sew through. Hope this helps you!🤗🩷 If you still need help let me know and I will try to make a video to show you how.🤗🩷🌸
@Goldie12015 ай бұрын
@@RobynsLoveofSewing Thank you so much for your reply and help. I got a tougher needle, dealt with some of the bulk as best as I could manage, and helped it along when needed. The ends were the toughest part, but I did manage to make it and it looks so great. The linked video is brilliant & will be an enormous help moving forward as I do need to make a second one.
