Hi there! You are amazing! I have a question about mixing colors. When the client brings in a lip color to match and since the colors fade up to 50% after the lips heal, shouldn't we use a darker color than what they brought in to get the healed result to match their color?

Such Great Video!~ I had one question - at 6:18 when you are going through top color correcting pigments you had already said Bora Bora Peach but at 6:18 you said Bora Bora Peach again and gave some other tips, so confirming-- is this color/tips actually for Maximus Peach Blossom or for bora bora peach?? My lips are lighter and seem to be naturally a little discolored. Lighter around the edges. I don't want to seem like I did my lips but I def want them to have a hint of consistent color...any suggestions. Someone recommend blushed by permablend and I thought that was a bit dark. I know colors fade a bit when healed. Let me know if you have suggestions.

This is a more complicated question, if you are actually performing dark lip neutralization on clients I recommend to take a class!

I’ve been mixing brands my whole career and tattoo artists mix brands too. I mix all colors and brands and I’ve never had an issue. I feel like this rumour has been started to limit permanent makeup artists, it’s not a proven fact to have bad effects or even makes sense when all of these brands essentially use the same ingredients. Evenflo, tina davies and permablend are made from world famous. Ever after is made from eternal ink.

Part of the reason I’m asking is in one of your examples you said if a client comes in who has purple lip colour from lip tattoo 15 years ago…..”. I guess you mean she had permenanr tatto then? Because surely blushing doesn’t last 15 years? I’m confused!

How can you tell the saturation of a pigment?

You look at it and if it’s bright it’s saturated. The coverage of a pigment has to do with its formula. That differs from brand to brand. Organic pigments typically have more coverage and pigments with white in them 👍
