When this video came out I was 7 years old and I was terrified of college. I refused to leave home but then I saw this video and it looked super fun so I decided I wanted to go. 11 years later and I’ll be going to college next year. This is so beautiful I get teary-eyed when I watch it. Almost a decade later, it still hits me every time. Why? I don't understand it myself. I guess it's the positivity, so contagious and so welcome. Just thinking about all the effort that went into it, all those young people standing by, queued up and ready to go. Maybe it's about how I miss those college days... discovering my own creative energies, working with classmates on fun projects, committing to something bigger, carving out our place in the world.

Okay, so I'm not the only one! I saw this many years ago and then search for it again and it was gone I thought because of copyright. But then I search recently and here it is! And I just love the amount of work and creativity and coordination and yes the positivity! The timing of this continuous shot video would have been so difficult to choreograph and pull off, with this number of people. Not sure how they did it, with such perfect timing. Kudos. Well done.

Mais um aqui. Estava vendo com meu filho e dizendo pra ele que algo que admiro nos EUA (claro que este é do Canadá, mas estávamos vendo o Lip Dub da cidade de Grand Rapids com a música American Pie antes, se você não viu, procure que é muito bom também) é como lá mesmo as cidades pequenas têm muitos talentos. Cada uma tem seus escritores locais, que só fazem sucesso lá, cantores locais, que só fazem sucesso lá... mas sempre muito talentosos. Acho que isso vem do incentivo à cultura e à criatividade da educação de lá, e falta em outros lugares do mundo, não só no Brasil. Aqui parece que pra pessoa ser criativa ou artista, tem que pensar em morar no Rio ou em São Paulo.

This video is in my Favorites, and every so often I watch it again. Love it. I think this is one the best examples of the single-camera-shot lib-dub videos out there. I think the camera work at the beginning needed some better filter/f-stop planning, but the rest worked great. Some really hot girls too :)
