Little late for this but if you plug the iPad in to the other cigarette lighter it will be ignition only. It’s the same circuit that your obd2 port is connected to

Since im going to be doing this I think that might be good to know im guessing this means that it will only be charging after turning it over? (New to automobiles)

@@ultragalacticgamer7195 correct. Otherwise it will charge all the time which is bad for the battery of the iPad and it will also run your battery down on your truck.

i think it’s jl audio not sure but one of the audio company’s make a little bluetooth box that hooks up to speaker amps and it would connect to the ipad as soon as you turn the truck on.

I run my phone on a magnet mount, right next near the center heat vent I can grab it and type on it and use my phone hooked up to Bluetooth single din radio all color matched orange and white lighting just like the stock guage cluster. I'd never want that much TV screen in front of me driving at night I rip my phone right down when I'm barrel assing down the highway just so I can see
