You must have to obtain a Innerline permit from any of these 3 districts Uttarkashi , Dharchula & chamoli .

I went to kailash mansarovar last year. Upto dharchula we travelled by bus. Dharchula is last town in this route which is the border of nepal. From Dharchula we went by jonga upto Najang(42km). Then trekking started. Halts were at budhi, gunji, kalapani(passports r checked and stamped here at this base camp of ITBP) and nabidhang. Lipulekh border is 9 km from nabidhang. At lipulekh chinese come to take us to taklakot where all formalties r done of passport and visa.

U have to take permit of innner line permit.from dharchula.till chhiyalekh u can go.but after that point u have to show inner line permit which allows u to go beyond chhiyalekh. But after 2-3 years it will be great route for bike lovers as new road are in making from pithoragarh to Uttarkashi along the china border ,road will be at average altitude of 10,000 feet or more..🙏🙏

Last year 2019 I had gone for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Lipulech. The road broad enough for small trucks. It's not very steep. The area is an restricted area. You can go only with permit and only locals are allowed. There are about 5 ITBP checkpoints. The road in the lower parts are a bit dangerous. Often landslides and flash floods occur. In the upper reaches the road is safer. In 2019 only about 4 to 5 kilometers of the road was left to be completed in the lower reaches.

Please update "Jhulaghat" india-nepal border not accessable from any vehicle only by foot you can cross the border. In Feb 2020 I visited there from nepal side and try to enter india on bike but there is no way to cross. Sir, Also update Umlingla top route in your ladhak map.
