Well I have to say that this is the best product I have used so far, which actually does what it says... I have the p0420 catalytic converter below threshold bank 1, it got so bad I could bearly accelerate the car its just would not just respond and the bill I was given to change 2 catalytic converters was crazy...... I found this video, and was able to get this product here in Nigeria. Surprise surprise all error code gone with the wind.... Sound of engine also dropped drastically and the drive now is as smooth as butter.... before you go spending a ton on a new catalytic converter try this product first....😅 Thank God for this product.

Hi, i have a question about apply of this product. In the video motor is an athmospheric. What about if the motor has a turbo charger? Intake area of the motor connecting directly intercooler. So there is no any scape for application. If we unscrew that pipe turbo charger has not any connection to the intake manifold and motor will not take work. In my experience yes, but you may want to clean your MAP after that just in case. I sprayed this product into a throttle body of a mk2 Clio, then an hour later cleaned a MAF sensor with liqui moly Air Flow Sensor Cleaner. It worked pretty good, but not perfect. A week later I added a Ligui moly cat cleaner solution to the fuel (it's a different product - a bottle that is supposed to be added to the gas comes with small blue funnel to be attached) and within a week or two car started breathing properly.... But my cat was pretty dirty due to stop and go city driving and shoddy ignition coil (which I replaced earlier).

Why can’t I spray it through vacuum hoses? Did you actually mean not to let the vacuum hose suck the cleaner directly from the canister? Or did you mean it is prohibited regardless? I did it through the vacuum hose an hour ago, what damage had it cause (I used the pump spray bottle you guys recommended, I sprayed the cleaner through the vacuum hose)?! Weird thing happened after I sprayed the whole thing and attempted to shut the engine off since I was done, but the engine just kept running for like 20 seconds after I shut the key off, I had to block the intake by hand to kill it, why did this occur?!

I saw a video on KZbin in some foreign language of a guy using this product in generic spray bottle so I decided to try that. Used an empty bottle from Henkel Clin and this stuff melted the spray valve membrane of that bottle right off - symptom: squeeze the handle and absolutely nothing happens. Bottle was fine before I tried using it with this product. Went back home and tried another empty bottle (I think it was Ajax Crystal Clean) and that one worked just fine. In hindsight, if you can borrow original spray bottle from someone locally that would definitely be better as it produces much finer mist and will definitely work as expected.

Arabanın ciğerleri açıldı, silkeleme vs kalmadı hiç. P0420 arıza kodu ve motoru sıkıştırınca içeri gelen pis kokudan dolayı kullandım. Bakalım uzun vadede nasıl bir etkisi olacak. I used this product on my passat 1.6 FSI vehicle. I applied the procedures in order. During the process, the exhaust threw white smoke. There was no white smoke left after the procedure. I realized that the catalyst was cleared from here.The engine fault light came on during the procedure. After the process was over, I deleted it with the obd device and it never came back. The engine relaxed a lot. I used it because of the P0420 fault code and the stench that came in when I loaded the engine. Let's see what the effects will be in the long run.

Hello anton, I recommend to use it like in the product information. Ideal will be to spray the Catalytic-System Cleaner directly into the intake before the throttle body. Hello, The application of the Catalytic System Cleaner needs a certain knowledge of engines and in case of modern engine management a diagnose system to delete failure from the system. The Catalytic System Cleaner should be applied after the airmass sensor and closest possible to the throttle valve. Then be sprayed in short shots into the manifold while the car is running. Hi I tried tried cleaning the catalytic system by applying the additive as directed in this video on my Mitsubishi Pajero GDI Engine by spraying the additive with pump spray bottle recommended above through the throttle body. Problem is but the everytime I do spray the throttle shuts, makes a weird loud sanction sound and there are sparks and fire coming through the exhaust, and the RPM shoots to the roof from the 2000RPM. The entire entire exhaust also become extremely hot in the process. What could I be doing wrong. Is it also safe to add the additive to the fuel tank as I fill up? Will it have any negative impact on the engine or the fuel system?

I'd remove the map sensor for this cleaning, and plug the hole, the MAP is only necessary for engines that are using boost pressures if not mistaken, and naturally aspirated engine usually mount them away from the engine, but not always.

LIQUI MOLY4 years ago If the engines turns off during the cleaning process or you are not be able to hold the required rpm, please disconnect the mass air sensor while the ignition is off. After that you will be able to start the engine and hold the required rpm. Please note that if you disconnect the mass air sensor, maybe there will be a failure code in the engine control unit. Hello Tests, if your car is still running after this application you are still lucky. The problem is the dosage, so if you fill in the whole product at ones into the vacuum hose the cylinder could fill up with the fluid. Fluids are not compressible so the engine can be destroyed. Hello Noah, To use four bottles in a row of our Catalytic-System Cleaner won´t have the effect that you are looking for. If you use the product as described in our product information it harm to the system and you can use four in a row but my recommendation is to use one bottle of Catalytic-System Cleaner and than use Catalytic-System Clean for the fuel tank. Hello, please disconnect your airmess sensor, then create access to the throttle walve and try the procedure again. After finishing the procedure, turn off ignition and connect the air mass sensor again. Then check with a diagnose tool if any failures are set due to the disconnection of the air mass sensor. We don´t recommend it to add it thru the vacuum hose, this can cause a unround Motor operation and affects the application negative.

Does this stuff really works. I have a 2013 honda odyssey with p0420 code and i have replaced the 02 sensor all 4 and i have used many catalytic converters cleaners and nothing have worked. Hello, normally, the error code P0420 says only, that the catalytic converter system does not working properly. But the cause can have many reasons. The best is, you let check if the catalytic converter correct works with a diagnostic tool and a exhaust gas analyzer. If the catalytic converter works correct it is possible that the cause is an electrical problem. If the catalytic converter works not correct, you can try to clean them with the LIQUI MOLY Catalytic-System Cleaner. But here it is also possible, that the rasons are deposids based on mangane oxide, in this case you have to replace the catalytic converter. Best regards, your LIQUI MOLY team

Hello, the application is practically identical for every gasoline engine. Important is, that you spray the LIQUI MOLY Catalytic-System Cleaner direct into the intake system (behind the air-flow sensor) in short intervals with an engine speed of approx. 2.000-3.000 1/min.

Hello, the Catalytic-System Cleaner is only for the intake system , as you can see it on the video. After the intake system cleaning with the Catalytic-System Cleaner (8931) , you can add the Catalytic-System Clean (7110) to the fuel , 300 ml is sufficent for up to 70 liters of fuel. Hello, in general, we have no vehicle-specific instructions for the application from our LIQUI MOLY Catalytic-System Cleaner due to the larg number of different vehicles. Another reason is, that the applucation is always the same. You remove the hose to the throttle body and than you spray the Catalytic-System Cleaner with short intervals at a rpm of approx. 2500 1/min direct into the throttle body. The Catalytic-System Cleaner is not suited for the tank application. If you add it to the fuel tank, this is not harmful for the engine but you have no cleaning effect.
