Ive noticed the same thing especially with electronic music but it seems to be a trend with all styles. The length of a song track has definitely decreased. Im wondering why exactly??

I like the fact that track are shorter, because most of the time long track were very repetitive, and it feel boring at the end, there is a lot of track were i'm ultra excited at the start but that i skip before the end because of the repetitiveness

@@PXSHXQ makes sense. In fact what Ive heard is that scientifically speaking, humans have an attention span of only a certain amount and that it is continuosly getting shorter. Look at how everyone has ADHD nowadays. Im guessing that most artists are controlled by a label that forces them to adhere to certain things like track length in order to increase sales. Just my opinion tho.

@@LoveKnot78We’ve gone back to the 60’s, where songs were short for radio play. Except the radio is now streams especially shorts like TikTok and KZbin shorts. Combine with the ever decreasing attention span that these apps encourage and we’re in this situation. It sucks frankly, a 4 min song is my happy place.
