I really wanted to try one of those at the WWC in April but, LL didn't come to Tuckfest. I'll have to see if they have one to demo. That surfing was too smooth.

Re: Powerslide do you feel like that boat has some slalom vibes & could be a more fun way to attain in the off-szn than say... a 12' long jawn? How about the amount of current you need to get that stern down? Does it need to be a SUPER strong eddyline, or can you finesse it down in milder conditions? Re: Aquabound paddle... In your experience, what type of stroke maximizes it's design (e.g. high vs low angle) - Super curious about it as a potential low water blade, as the surface area is there to provide power, even if the water isn't super deep - annnd that lamlock makes one think it'll hold up better than a Werner. Appreciate you making the videos, time to read this and look fwd to your experiences when you're able to respond - YEET - THE - TREATS!!!

Well first question some might disagree but the Pslide feels nothing like a slalom boat to me. It’s rockered a lot in the bow and stern and it’s wide in the tail. Think more of a half slice meets long boat. And it’s awesome for attaining because it’s narrow hull and bow rocker. And the aquabound I feel it’s an all around blade design very similar to the Werner powerhouse but holds up 100 times better. So strokes are more like a hybrid of high low to really get the most out this.

That is an eddy I can never catch, the volume on my boat and my lack of skill never gets me in there. I ultimate always end up sideways in M Wave and that never turns out well. LOL

I have missed it and pitoned the wall pretty hard 😂 but really the key is angle and a deep edge lean the bigger the kayak the harder it is

How many ww parks have you been to? Which one is the best?

It’s hard to say some are like white holes and courses made of counting those than maybe 20 but if talking like true paid parks like this there are only like 4 or 5 in the entire USA and I been to 4 of them and the best overall for my style paddling is the Charolette whitewater park but all have a very unique style and all I think are good in their own way

Love my powerslide but the thigh grips kinda suck. Anyone know if I can switch them out with another brand?

Personally I really like the Liquidlogic outfitting. I do modify the braces to move them back about an inch to an inch and a half further back onto the thighs. This requires drilling a new hole or lengthening the slot in the black plastic thigh hooks as well as drilling and tapping a new mounting hole for the ratchet. A little bit involved. I have also retrofitted Dagger thigh braces into a few different boats and that's my favourite method. @AlexBarham has some good tutorial videos about the dagger thigh hooks on his channel, check those out.

Don’t know what the braces look like in newer LL’s, but I installed bees knees in an Alpha 75. I was often coming out of them.

Agreed the thighhooks could use some work I’m curious about putting some bee knees in there and I also run mine all the back to max out the control

Yeah the outfitting is fine overall but when I beater my line and the river is spanking me my knees always try to slip out. Not fun when you're trying to get in control of your boat and can't even get tight inside the boat. I'll check out Barham's videos and fall back plan might be bees knees. Thanks all.
