Hello Guys from Doctor mix! What do you think about comparing Seventh heaven and real Bricasti M7 unit? A lot of people on gearslutz are saying that plugin is lacking that 3D feel, but no one compared them on a video yet , What do you think about it? Have a great day , keep doing amazing stuff!!! :)
@ludwigmuller20235 жыл бұрын
This is what's behind the lacking 3D feel: the slightly moving random modulation from algorithmic reverbs, which convolution reverbs simply can't reproduce, even not with "Fusion IR". It becomes very obvious when you stretch the decay time on Seventh Heaven. The tail gets extended, but it doesn't sound very lively to me. After all, that random modulation is one of the aspects that made the lexicon sound or EMT 250 so famous back in the day. Anyway, I still think Seventh Heaven sounds very nice and natural, but to me there are several much more worthwhile reverbs out there: 2CAudio's Breeze2, Exponential Audio's R2 and R4, Valhalla room etc.
@mattwalsh94135 жыл бұрын
I have no experience with these two particular reverbs, but man, this demo sounds way way way worse than the real Bricasti demos out there, which is disappointing.

Does it sound the same as the Slate bundle reverb with the Bricasti IRs?
@wafflestoast52286 жыл бұрын
Chase the Day Liquid Sonics also makes the slate verb so in theory it should be the same but with less controls...
@kylejudkins7546 жыл бұрын
not likely, because there is more going on under the hood. Theres modulation of the tail if I recall - so the reverb is constantly changing - rather than just a simple IR.
@Doctormix6 жыл бұрын
They use similar parts of the engine but there's no way they sound the same because of quite a few things, one of them is that the Reverb Classics don't have the VLF control which is a very important part of the Bricasti sound. Also, many other controls are missing. That's not to say that the Reverb Classics don't sound any less epic!

@KGTv1236 жыл бұрын
prozak morris there's a cheaper version that's only $67 dollars. It just doesn't have all those other advanced options, which I don't think you 100% need
@Doctormix6 жыл бұрын
Hey Prozak, yes indeed but we do feel it's worth the price tag. Also, as Nugget said, there is the non-professional version which still sounds amazing but offers less tweaking options. To be honest, with some notable exceptions, good quality software reverbs don't tend to come cheap :)
@CaryMillerOfficial5 жыл бұрын
Try Valhalla DSP. ($50 a plugin) To be honest I use nothing but the Valhalla stuff and H-Delay by Waves (because I've owned it since 'Nam). This is a great sounding emulation of a Bricasti, but I don't feel it's "superior" to anything Valhalla has done for me. Just a different flavor. $300 gets you just about everything they offer. valhalladsp.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw2v7mBRC1ARIsAAiw34-RvalOrIzTI1uk8sgzR3gdAdHgDxR5pxENLCQjOQ30nSeKgsLEVqMaAhliEALw_wcB
