Liquify + Face Distortions | Effects of After Effects

In this quick tutorial, I explain how to use the Liquify effect in Adobe After Effects. I'll also teach you how to do a simple face track and create a face distortion effect to meme-ify yourself right in After Effects.

Whoa... what happened at kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3nPnomppZJ9htU where you were able to move the point while dragging out the handle? I can't seem to find a shortcut for what happened there.

What about adding layers on top to apply the tracking data to? Can't get it to do what I want. Like adding a dark circle to track to the eye to change the blending mode and make someone look more zombielike. if i pickwhip the position of the layer to the face data it doesn't apply to the right place and doesn't let you adjust it bc of the expression

Scaling the object up enough to where you can mask it to what you want is one solution. any others i'm overlooking if scaling something up that large doesn't work creatively?

If you add "value +" before using the expression pickwhip, it'll allow you to adjust the position of the layer in addition to tracking the point.

Tutorial was a bit misleading for liquifying maske objects within video. It was liquifying whole vid. The way it worked for me was selecting mask and leaving it as ADD. Then selecting composite and selecting mask 1 on liquify. That did the trick.

I have to Alt-click in order to see the expression. Double clicking 'E' does nothing. When I see the expression, it says nothing like what's on your screen. I don't have the option to change a tracker location since it doesn't exist on my screen. What's going on? I don't know what to do.
