I've videoed out the front of an M3 on all the main electrified branches. Out of the times I've been to Mineola for the morning Rush, I have NEVER seen an M3 touch this branch other then M7s! Awesome video!!

MrMaster767 99%, we'd see train #1501, entering Mineola from the Oyster Bay Branch, all out of M7s

Yes. I highly doubt another M3 will touch this branch.

At 0:04 you can see an industrial building on the left which used to have a siding. The siding branched off and crossed Sagamore Road to serve Latham lumber . I remember driving through that industrial area as a kid and seeing an old brown boxcar sitting in the space between the two buildings. I have never been able to find any pictures of freight on that siding. Anyone from that part of Mineola/East Williston?

20:42, to the right, that Dollar Tree parking lot. Been there before, watched a bunch of LIRR trains pass by. Was fun until they told me i couldn't film lol

Not an educated observer, but it looks like a great job! I glimpsed a few interesting artifacts- the trestle to the old Creedmore Branch (heading northwest) just before the Floral Park Station? The good quality also afforded a few good looks at some of the freight sidings on the line.

At 3:15 look how close those cars are parked near the third rail this is unreal

They are around 4-5’ from it. In a marked parking spot. No big deal as long as you don’t touch it
@AaronJrBrundidge3 жыл бұрын
@@derekrohan9619 they probably might fence that area

All of those crossings on the mainline are now history as the third track project progresses.

How is it that the horns on (almost) all of the LIRR electrics sound like they have an obstruction in the air line?
@southeasternpennsylvaniara15884 жыл бұрын
Garry G on steam locomotives there whistles but on Diesel and Electric plus cab cars there horns.
