Crossing is gone now though. They closed the road in February 2020, excavated on both sides to construct the bridge, box-jacked that bridge on the weekend of July 21st-22nd, and now the road is set to reopen. It's paved, the lines have been painted, the safety barrels for the center pillar are in place, and the new traffic light at the intersection of New Hyde Park Road and Plaza Avenue is in service. Four lanes, and beyond the center pillar are two left turn only lanes. It is now a box tunnel with the road going underneath the tracks.
