Eva was indeed delightful, but then so were so many characters! I loved Mr. Ziffel and his 'son' Arnold the pig, Mr. Haney with his delightfully irritating twang, Eb Dawson with his clueless enthusiasm, Sam Drucker, the philosopher-storekeeper, and Hank Kimball, who could never get things right!
@rcnelson

Oddly enough, Drucker was the sanest of them all, including Oliver.

Looking back on these clips many years later, it's clear that Eva had the talent in the family---she deftly handles the dialogue and keeps the light mood of the show, beautifully. She should be remembered for that than just for being a 'Gabor'--

Thanks for these GREAT MEMORIES, still as Hysterical as when they were just broadcast then. Never knew what to expect next, AND learned all the different uses for her Hot Cakes . . . Just like Ellie May Clampet on the Beverly Hillbillies. My stomach is going to start hurting, like back then. To Quote Master Bob Hope "Thanks for the Memories" . . .

How could the actors keep from cracking up during filming? Kimball and Ziffel were the funniest, but they all had a different, whacky style that fit together. And Haney- oh man.

Funny as the farmers were all complaining about him wearing a different suit when he farms...and wanted him to where overalls. And FINALLY at the end of the episode he does (Not Lisa's expensive diamond ones) they were all wearing their suits. LOL.

Their chemistry was incredible, and their romantic scenes were pretty hot, too, especially for that era. Eddie and Eva were actually best friends in real life, which certainly helped onscreen.
