They’re in my cart; will be fantastic to lock down lip liner 👄

I’ve been using it for that too around the edges of my mouth

Thank you so much for reviewing this. I prefer to wear as little foundation as possible lately, but definitely need (and like) spot concealing, especially for work. Willing to fork over the $$$ for Lisa Eldridge because her products just work. Used your link, hope you get some sort of credit from it.

Thank you! I hope you enjoy them as much as I am. Sadly the links to her site no longer give commission but happy to always link anyway.

I have sun spots and I wanted high coverage for them. But generally high coverage means that is difficult to match. So I’m pretty pleased. I got 8,9,10. I am experimenting with spot concealing for the first time. 😁

I hope you love them! I’m definitely getting 9 when I’ve been in the sun more

This is the concealer I need. I don't mind the blemishes on my skin but I still want to cover spots like hyperpigmentation from acne scars and this is what I am looking for.

I don’t like wearing heavy coverage so it’s been perfect for days I only want it or paired with the skin tint

I like full coverage matte foundation most days but there are days where I just want to hide blemishes. I’m very much interested in trying this product after seeing what you have to say. Thank you!

I wish I’d gotten a darker shade, but I’ll get a different shade when she releases her next product I want. Mine is too light to do overall correcting…but… it’s GREAT at lightening shadows and going around my lips. (And I love the olive green pouch too! ) When I did use it to blank out “imperfections” it seemed to have great staying powder, which is different than many other concealer sticks. This doesn’t melt and fade. For me, I think I will be using it more when I’m using zero base makeup but want just a bit of red covering here and there. That is probably 1-2/week for me. It makes a big difference and still looks like I have no foundation makeup on. I can see doing this and a light coat of the Surratt mascara with the metallic weird applicator and just look BETTER without most people clocking I even have makeup on. I’ll do this a bunch in the summer. Using it like that and to clean up my lip line etc I think this will last a long time and be very worth the price for me. I don’t think I really need this pencil when I’m doing regular makeup with foundation. My Haus labs concealer covers my red pretty well in that case. When I get the darker pencil I can see trying it over 3 little broken capillaries I have on my chin and under my nose. The Haus Labs concealer and foundation cover them, but they fade and the capillaries peek through after a bit. I can quickly touch up with the pencil once I get the right color…or who knows, maybe it will be waterproof alone on those capillaries not to fade and I’ll cover them with that all the time. Would most people even notice them, I guess not, but they stick out to me like a sore thumb. Even if I used the pencil every time I do my makeup to cover those little capillaries, the pencil would still last a long time for me.

Sorry it took a bit to respond, wanted to make sure I had the time. What shade did you pick up? I totally agree, its not something I am using every day, especially if I use an actual foundation or want more coverage from my Haus Labs concealer, but the days I want to literally look like nothing in on my face I have been using it with the tint or on its own. Like today I wore it to the gym to cover a few spots I wanted less red because I didn't want to wear actual makeup, but knew it would last.

@ I got 3 and I should have gotten 5. I didn’t pay attention to her chart that matched the concealer to the skin tint used. I’m not sad about it, though. I like the lighter shade for clean up around the lip and obscuring shadows.

I feel like you are oversimplifying the pricing issue, or possibly skipping one vital piece of information when making your argument. It´s not "I don´t want to pay 33 dollars for a concealer". It´s "I don´t want to pay 33 dollars FOR 0,4 g / 0,014 oz of concealer". Those two things are not in the same vein at all. Also, considering the price to the amount of product ratio, Victoria Beckham concealer is not more expensive than Lisa Eldrige at all, it si considerably cheaper (though not cheap by any stretch of the imagination). Actually, when you check the price for a gram of the LE concealer, it is in the same ballpark as a gram of gold. That is not normal and should not be normalised. And I say all this as a Lisa Eldridge fan. I love her tint and the cleanser, I bought both the Rouge Experience lipstick and the Baume Embrace and I use them all daily. But pretending that this is not a cash grab is either ignorant or hypocritical. Especially given that the housing unit for the concealer could take in 2-3 times the amount of product than it currently does. And then there is the question of sustainability. Lisa made a decisive claim on the topic with her refillable lipstick, yet not 3 months after that, she released a product that, if used regularly, will create a considerable amount of plastic waste. Personally, I was not too impressed by the concealer when I tried it, it is definitely not for me, because it sat on top of my skin and grabbed on every bit of texture or dry skin, making it very obvious, which defeats the purpose of this method. But I can appreciate that is the "not for me" part of the deal. What I cannot accept is that both points I´ve made have almost certainly been considered by the LE production team and they decided to go ahead with it in this form anyway. I would be interested in your experience with how long it takes you to go through the entire pencil. Based on my own calculations, it would last me about 3 weeks of just spot concealing (4 weeks max, but I would have to be very selective about which spots I use it on). If this is the case for a regular user, it would mean you are shelling out 33 dollars every month. For comparison, the tint costs 45 euros (I live in the EU), and with daily use, one bottle lasts me 3-4 months. Yes, it is a much bigger product, but also, I use it on my entire face, therefore I use a lot more of it as well. If you could do an update on what length of use you get out of the concealer pen, that would be very useful :)

I don't think I skipped the point about the amount of product, I spent 6 minutes talking about it. It's not just that it's 33, which was a comment at the end, but also the formula and tiny precise point of the mechanism. That is why I compared its price and product amount with precise retractable eyeliners since they are the only thing we can really compare it to and it explains why the amount is what it is for the delivery system. I am curious how much you are using if you think it would only last three weeks, I have been using it almost daily for two weeks now and have barely used any. But, I see you said the tint only lasts you 3 months and I have been using mine daily for 9 months and it is low, but not empty. I think cost per use varies depending on how much you use. This being a pin point tip its not designed to use all over the face, so similarly to an eyeliner you use daily it should last months.

@@QueerBones I was reacting to something you said in the final summary, about how people´s issue is that they simply don´t want to pay this sum for a concealer, which I don´t think is the whole issue. Wayne Goss also raised this exact thing on his channel, that regardless of quality, the amount of product you get for the price is vastly disproportionate. I can tell you I have not been using the concealer all over the face, as that´s not what it´s designed for. When it first arrived, I pushed out the entire length of the concealer and measured it, it was about 3,5 cm (3 within the case and the 0,5 was protruding when you retracted it completely). With only spot concealing on 6-7 small areas of my face for 3 days + trying it out once to do the lip lift, the initial 0,5 cm of the concealer was gone. That´s why I said that I calculated the amount would last about 3 weeks. Also, it´s probably worth mentioning that I have only tried one shade, not multiple ones, which might also contribute to the difference in our experiences. As to the tint, I am also not yet done with mine, but I expect it to run out sometime within my 4th month of use. If it lasts me longer, I will be over the moon, but it would further demonstrate the discrepancy in the price points of these two products. If I compare the concealer pen to Lisa´s own eyeliners, which you have to sharpen and therefore inevitably lose some of the product, they are around the same price, but even with daily use, I haven´t even used up 1/2 of mine in 3 months´ time. Also, you get 3 times the amount of product (1,2g) for a slightly lower price than the concealer, and I don´t think her liners are an inferior product. I would simply appreciate some consistency when it comes to the pricing. I don´t mind paying higher prices for luxury products, but I then expect them to deliver not just in terms of quality, but also quantity, packaging and the ESG standards the brand itself has been advertising. With this product, I cannot really see that happening, unfortunately. I will say that the customer service has been excellent though, as always. It is one of the reasons I will be keeping an eye out for Lisa´s next product release.

That is something I said in the end of the video but was not the main point or even all is said, I also spent 6 minutes talking about the price and packaging before that so I think the statement that I was oversimplifying isn't fair. I do think the packaging places a large part in the price and amount of product. I saw Wayne's video, I wish he had actually said something other than giving the incorrect amount of product (he said 0.04g not 0.4g) and just state it's too expensive. I never like short reviews in general because you lose any details or nuance. Lisa's team really does have the best customer service of any brand I have tried.

She should have released a pot concealer and pin point brush.

Those things already exist and easily purchased so it makes sense to create an all in one version.
@QueerBones10 күн бұрын
Actually based on the prices of her brushes I think that would end up being a lot more money up front. More product and the brush lasts forever, but more expensive itself.

I would get that in addition to having these!

Loved your thorough review Colin and I totally agree with the points you made, I said similar in my review as I think there seems to be a lack of nuance and critical thinking when it comes to product pricing 😅🫣
