What I love most about Miles' is how he would milk a note for every last ounce of tension before resolving...or sometimes even just cutting off the note and letting the dissonance hang in the air until the next chord created a resolution. The only other place I've heard such mastery of tension and release is in Classical...or more correctly, Romantic Period...music.

Oh yeah! The album came 1959, but I did not know it until around 1968-69 I think. Found the album at The Norrköping Library, Sweden, and went there many times when I had free hours from school and was totally hypnotized. I bought the vinyl later and still have it my drawer. I think I have every note somewhere in my head still after all the times I listened to it. I understand Miles had the idea to move on, like it had it's time.. I can't stand copying myself until I do not hear anything type, there's a big world out there of more sounds and he wanted to explore it. The Kind of Blue album is a corner stone to me as for so many, the most sold jazz album ever, arguably anyway.
