Lisa really enjoyed the background work and she said she felt more at ease doing that verses the whole solo career. So she chose to do one and be done.

I'm glad so many people have begun to see the talent that is Lisa Fischer. She should've been far bigger and greater than she is now. And to think for the longest time, she was a background singer to some of the greatest, such as Luther Vandross and the Rolling Stones. Thank you for sharing this video!

She chose not to pursue a solo career. She just wanted to sing background where she was comfortable. She didn't want the stress that comes with the limelight. I can think of a few people who should be grateful that she made that decision. The mastery she has over her voice is incredible. She's happy where she is.
