Heard this within a few days of the recording. I remember thinking "what I am witnessing here!?!??" It's like all the best elements of Dead Can Dance distilled into a slightly creepy martial vibe, like a hallucinatory Ottoman orchestra. I think it's definitely one of Lisa Gerrard's finest moments.

Are you sure it wasn't just the poster, sideways?

If you turn this image on its side, it looks exactly like my hometown of LaCrosse, Wisconsin on the Mississippi River. I will also forever love this song.
@stephanieann9770 Жыл бұрын
The poster was a 6'x4' Pink Floyd The Wall album cover with the guy screaming. Looks like maybe it was done in water paint. Anywho, the hallucination I saw was a village on the river as if I was coming in by boat. You could see the smoke streaming into the sky from the fires the village had going ❤ I grew up near the Everglades in Florida USA. Oh, and I believe the riverside village was in the teeth of the man in the poster 😂

Hi everyone, Not sure if it's the official title to the song, but that's what it seems to be referred to. Heard it on her tour in 1995 as well as with DCD in 1996.
