so much emotion conveyed in "so few words" Lisa is the best we have maybe we the best we have ever had. I feel so lucky to have stood only a few feet away from her at a DCD gig in 1987 and even got the chanc eto meet her and speak with her afterwards

That is an awesome video, the pictures and the music are a perfect fit. I just feel bad for all those chronically depressed people who cannot just enjoy the beauty of the planet without getting depressed about the bad things that are happening. THAT is the worst tragedy of all.

When I used to work on the Bearing Sea our vessels were sometimes followed for days by large pods of these awesome creatures almost 400 miles from land. I was working in quite bad weather on the rail of our ship when the pod passed so close to the ship I could have touched it. They just came up to take a closer look at us.

It puzzles me why Lisa Gerrard has not had more recognition particularly in the UK where she and Dead can Dance first make their early albums in the early/mid 1980's. I was a fan going back to the peel sessions and saw them live a number of times when IMO they made their greatest music between 1985/1990. I met Lisa herself after the Birmingham gig in August 1987 . A wonderful lady ! Loved her solo stuff since "the mirror pool" but to my knowledge DCD nor Lisa have played at UK music festivals nor played on any UK music shows over the years eg The Old grey Whistle test, Revolver , The Tube, The word, Jools Holland etc . And the band when mentioned are routinely described as " Goth" by UK music journalists eg Lauren Leverne ps I know the band are revered in continental Europe and played Live on Dutch TV 30 years ago !

It pains me, we strive towards "power" towards technological advances, but on that journey, we are losing ourselves, we destroy things that have a soul, that has so much beauty, things that are of unimaginable value once you learn more about them. We care about profit more than we care about our home...our environment. To me personally, the only power in the universe is knowledge and with knowledge, with a good understanding of what we are doing to our lovely planet, mostly to ourselves, we can change...take the right path, path of compassion path of reason and understanding. Path of Peace.
