I remember I actually watched the WNBA back in the early 2000s. Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson are really the only two players I know outside of Diana Taurasi who is crazy that she's still playing and is still one of the best in the league. From my research I see that Lisa Leslie is basically the same kind of player as Lauren Jackson, dominant on both ends of the court.

i think it's he vision of the court ... and her BB IQ , she can score heavy but she will look for open player and get the ball there ... in other words .... she play for the W not her own stats .... so again remind us Curry who can score heavy and get our defense to focus on him while looking for creating open looks for other players....
@MrNorcal81
@MrNorcal81 8 күн бұрын
@@SosNeedHelp Exactly. Clarke is a classic point guard. She sees the entire court, her teammates on the move and how the defense is set up in one quick look. Her passing is so good that it sometimes surprises her mates. Aliyah Boston has benefited so much from Clarke hitting her with a perfect pass as she's steaming into the paint. Boston was great college center and has been a good WNBA center but her game is being elevated by having a floor general like Clarke finding her and getting the ball to her for layups.
@exousia2002
@exousia2002 8 күн бұрын
She makes passes others can't make because she can shoot long 3s off the dribble. Defenses don't stretch themselves out like that for other offensive players, opening different lanes to the basket, making her passes look different and exciting. That’s why Steph Curry passes look different than a LeBron pass.

CC is changing the game not only with her logo 3's but she's the new wave quarterback of a more explosive offense, directing the play on the court. Two shooting guards will be the "running backs" while power forwards and center posts will give way to two fleet "wideouts" catching passes from behind half court while running varied patterns around the boards. When C.C. runs the offense, the team does well like Kate Martin said about CC and Iowa. The W is in for an exciting evolution if the current crop of players, coaches and commentators don't blow it.

Inadvertently or not, CC is emulating Lisa Leslie’s MO who said: “It’s more than about me and numbers; It’s about the relationship; It’s about building community….” To me, this means autographing, entertaining, and socializing to attract eyeballs must be added to merely being a top notch producer of points which too many of the old guard and dour tattooed players think that this is all they need to do. Watch the actual footage. She rolls her eyes at the mention of Clark. She's as bad as Dianasaur Taurasi.

In Minnesota it was all about Lindsey Whalen and no one hardly ever brings her name up. So much for recognizing and honoring your past

Lisa Leslie is a lady. She was great player , honest person, beautiful inside & outside. Realistic about WNBA . She appreciates Caitlin Clark for sake of WNBA. Leslie is not wining about attention to Clark. Leslie appreciates Clark effort for WNBA. CC is helping others to get what they deserve. Good job Leslie . God bless you & Caitlin Clark to bring fans to WNBA each of you on their playing time. Feminism has returned to WNBA with Caitlin Clark, Camrin Brinks, Reese, Kate Martin.

Logo 3s plus more assists than Bird averaged in her rookie season and over twice the rebounds. Sue Bird, You are a favorite of many fans, I am one. But don't disingenuously leave out the big picture of Caitlin Clark. Sue, You are a leader of your sport; you need to embrace the new wave bringing an increased popularity. Give Caitlin her due. Soon will come Paige then Juju. You need to lead and call out Head Shot fouls, many directed against Caitlin. Grow Up Sue Bird, and tell Diana.

How can these legends speak so eloquesntly about and for everyone in the W without having to be bitter about anyone else? The young W players should learn from these LEGENDS!!!

Speaking about the JK and Sue conversation.... It's good to see that Sue spoke about this to an open audience, attracting even more non sport folks to the W, or at the very least showing them why there is spotlight on Caitlin Clark. But at the same time it's difficult to explain what's happening in the W without bringing up CC22.
