Loud music is the professionals' way of covering what she lacks. The choice of songs with monotone melody also covers her lack of range. All these tricks of the trade along with top notch equipment are what allow her to record and look good on stage. Without all that she may have sang more like her grandmother, Gladys. I think many of us expected better because she's Elvis' daughter but she's also Gladys' granddaughter.

Such a shame she started her singing career so late! She was 35 when she releaed her first album. Had she had the self confidence to go for it while still in her teens in the late 80s, with her incredible looks and obvious talent I'm convinced she'd have been a massive star.
